  1. I have to say I envy the forum's loyalty. I'll bet hardly any redditors even know we won! Maybe it was the Kerbalesque style of our submission that gave us bonus points with the devs, but in the end, even if it was made to look easy, my teammates' talent for efficient design and navigation really showed. I know I couldn't have done it! I don't imagine we won by any big margin. Wouldn't have wanted to make the decision myself, but hey! In the end, it's all low-stakes fun and games. *Slow clap* it was a fun tournament and I admire everyone's sportsmanship. Ya'll are great!
  2. Rowsdower quietly mentioned it in the latest KSP Weekly about .25....
  3. What technique did you use to create that effect? It's amazing! How does it perform against regular suspension in a hairpin turn? Or flipping up on a hard stop? On the Mun? There's so much potential for realistic experiments with a concept like that! Good stuff!
  4. They will eventually EDIT: And the thing you wanted is now a thing you have!
  5. Now we wait... Since it's post-deadline, I kinda want to show people our submission. Can we?
  6. More like "plank length". I love the ole' "common cosmetic utensil -> gun" gag haha
  7. If that challenge doesn't include the prefix "pico" or "nano", i'll be brushing my teeth with a .45 come Friday
  8. So will voting end on Monday? Or does it end tonight? I'm very anxious to see what the next challenge will be.
  9. One more! "Hexacolor light panel". <- SCRATCH THAT. More like 3kk color. Don't even know what to call this thing. 9 sets of base color lights, and 1 tone light. I have no idea how many color combinations this is, but it's a lot. If it's 10!, than that means there's over 3,000,000 color combinations. It's only 23 parts and can easily be strapped to a station. GIF of changing lights
  10. I think most of the contestants are pretty sick of the "build the rocket strewn about on KSC's lawn" challenge for the moment It's a good idea though! You should post it elsewhere for more attention.
  11. N-TURBO Engine. Here's a mission I completed using the engine design complete with RAM SPAM. http://imgur.com/a/aIuMx
  12. Thanks a million Whack! The Munar arch-shot - LOADS of quicksaving/quickloading. Same with the VAB landing: **alright we're sitting at 648 fuel, lets turn 30 degrees and burn till 600. K it's a little off to the north, far off to the east. Quickload. Let's try 35 and stop at 590.** etc. etc. over and over. My teammate chicknblender took great care in his tour piloting, and then I came along and just bashed the thing into Minmus burning off a TON of carefully conserved fuel Figured it was a fitting thing to do with the ship... I wanted to go BRAHHHHHHH!! the whole time. Such a baadaass craft. Kind of a shame we didn't have any competition, but I'm half-glad we didn't know till the end so we could still put out as good a submission as we were capable of in the time frame. I can't compliment your challenge enough! Thanks for the comments and the challenge!
  13. Having all of the docking ports perfectly aligned in the VAB must have helped quite a bit. Personally, I think we just got a central column with commitment issues and a larger than average "personal space bubble".
