What would happen to this community if pewdiepie played KSP?
RPGsquirrel replied to notfruit's topic in The Lounge
Well, the game's learning curve is very unforgiving (I remember spending 3 hours on one of my first missions only to crash) I doubt pewdiepie would even play for that long, and even if he did, his viewers would probably be too impatient to watch the videos -
Well considering it takes up 1/5th of my day, on a good day, I would say its rather legitimate, in my opinion.

Show Your Best modded Space Station Here!!
RPGsquirrel replied to OrianCEV's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Wow! That looks amazing! One question; how many mods were used? I recognize LLL and the interstellar warp drive mod (I think), but there seems to be a bunch more -
The BFB If you're just too lazy to make a nice looking battery or a good xenon gas storage apparatus for your space station, the BFB will surely meet your expectations. With 56,030 Electric charge, and 22,400 Xenon Gas, it has impressive banking capabilities. Being a battery, it is unmanned, but also unfortunately does not have any power source (A battery that generates it's own power?) Luckily, the BFB is equipped with the Clamp-o-tron Sr., and the regular Clamp-o-tron, for any space station, münbase, or rendezvous necessities. Mods used: - B9 Aerospace - Lack Luster Labs Standard View With The Red Lights Docking Lights (The picture is a bit buggy) A few minor issues: - Unfortunately, due to it's banking abilities, it also clocks at around 200 parts. This may be problematic for performance if used with a space station, especially on lower-end computers. - There isn't any RCS, so docking to anything won't be possible unless you yourself add RCS and RCS Ports. - This isn't much of an issue, but the red ornery lights are not set to an action group. This means that all lights, docking lights included, turn on. However, the docking lights are set to an action group, and can be turned off rather easily, so it's not much of an issue. Download

Kethler Rover/Mining Station Mk. I
RPGsquirrel replied to RPGsquirrel's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I will be able to within the next day. Like I said, LLL, B9 and Kethane are required. Also, i would suggest using subassembly manager, because the atomic rockets on my upper asparagus stage tend to explode, leaving me with the duty of manually refueling ALL my rocket in the asparagus staging, because i would simply not have enough thrust if i decoupled any of them. -

That is a monster of a drop ship -
Show off your Kethane Mining Designs!!
RPGsquirrel replied to Amphiprion's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I already posted this design here, but oh well. This my heavy mobile kethane station. It's equipped with everything necessary to detect, mine, and convert kethane. It also has a decent fuel storage considering most of it are kethane tanks. It has 4 FL-T800 fuel tanks, which is equivalent to 1,440 fuel, I believe. It also has two LLL rectangular kethane tanks for storage, which probably an unnecessary amount in retrospect, but oh well. You can see the 4 small drills and solar panels. It doesn't store much fuel, but is a good mining rover if you have a large kethane/fuel depot that is immobile. -
Kethler Rover/Mining Station Mk. I
RPGsquirrel replied to RPGsquirrel's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Well I got it to Duna, so getting it to the Mun shouldn't be that hard. At minimum a 6-way asparagus stage with mainsails, and some atomic engines should do the job -
This should probably be in the post your rover megathread, but I joined the party a bit late. Recently I've taken up using the B9 Aerospace mod parts, that look way cleaner to make most of my probes. One setup I used were the large Lack Luster Labs manned cockpits with some Kethane tanks in the middle (Sorry if I'm blanking on the mod name, maybe one of you guys can help me) So naturally I perfected this design until I got a relatively effective vehicle I present to you: The Kethler Rover Mods Used:(To my knowledge) -B9 Aerospace -Lack Luster Labs (Once again, not what it's called, but I forgot the name) You can see most of it, with an excessive amount of kethane tanks in the middle, and 4 FL-T800 fuel tanks (long 1.25m tanks) oriented where the center of mass will stay in the center no matter how much fuel they have, as long as they have have the same amount per tank. I also have some converter units and kethane scanners, to throw it all into one. 4 large solar panels with 4 small kethane drills Molman seems a bit too happy considering he is one brake malfunction away from officially being the first Kerbal to be part of a planet I know I don't have the .craft file or mods linked, but I will happily try to do either if any of you request them
