  1. I am exited for the Career mode. I started building Ships from small to big to VERY big, and then reduce the Parts. I know have Interplanetary Ships and Missions Running. Atm i am at downsizing getting Parts down for more Powerfull Ships, there will be only one think i will miss about Career mode: Nav Lights. They are Awesome, far better then the Orignal Light sources. The challenge in Minecraft and KSP is to achieve a lot with little tools, the Career Mode will be starting a new World in Minecraft without Freebuild Mode. The Freebuild Mode players can still play along and get some Experiements to attach to their Ships ( but they won't putt out any results in Sandbox ) but KSP will reach a whole new Depth. And getting some Experience in Downsizing helps in Sandbox as well. Getting my Eagle Lander to the smaller Crow Lander from 300 Parts down to 75 Parts allowed it to get the same Performance and let it travel with my Spacefreighter.
  2. 455 Parts it is flyable, Base ship is 235 parts. But turning while under full throttle is laggy, acceleration _or_ turning is okey. Launching the Ship ( two Missions) was hard, because i took several Measures to keep Part count down. Only stabilized the Parts via Docking Ports on launch. Stock Strut connectors leave a Part on the Ship. So i avoided them.
  3. KSS Daedalus is ready for departure, my own Interplanetary Ship (nearly Stock) for traveling insystem, loaded with 300 tons of Station Equipment: 4 Modules on the Upper side: 2x Modular Station, Landercraft, Habitat for backtravel 4 Lower Side Modules ( unseen): 2x Rover with Skycranes, Spacetug, Modular Station part. Station will be putt over Jool for visits on Vall, Bop, Pol or over Duna and then in next flight Permanent Station for Duna. Only mod used is Nav-Lights for the looks.
  4. Landed with my Eagle MK7 there (resembles in Stockparts the Moonbase Alpha Space:1999 Eagle) Dropped four parts of a mobile Moonbase you need at least 2 together to have a drivable Vehicle After drop of the Station Station fully operational
  5. The Next Gen Consoles are quite powerfull but they mark a total different approach to computing. Thanks to the old Gen Consoles Single Thread performance was important, the next Gens are going for Multicore. They are basically the A8-5600k and the A10-5800k Prozessor. Which are good Mitclass Prozessors, only that the cores are split up into cmd sections and run on half speed to lower Power consumption. I builded Several PC with this core and they are quite Powerfull. And allow good Performance on everything but Cryengine 3, there you have to go on Low-Med Settings. The Problem with KSP in the current state is very simple: Unity-Engine is relativly new to Multithread support and KSP is not realy running Multithread. My workstation A8 3850 (less raw Power as an Xbox-one)is capable of running a 300 Parts ship without lag. A newer A8 5600k is able of running 400-500 parts. (Nice to have costumer PC to stresstest) It realy depends on the max Frq the Prozessor can chunk out. As Multicoring is not yet supported. So the Next Gen Consoles would suck because they have the same computing power as a A8-A10 with 4x3,8-4ghz but it is split up into 8x1,6-1,8ghz. On the other Hand it is good for PC as Quad Cores are common and now the Programmes must think multithreading.
  6. I went to the mun crashed several crafts there, then went to Duna, and then to Minmus. Minmus is easy to land but very hard to hit because it got a tiny cravity well. I use a Moonbase Alpha (Space 1999) style Landing ship which is a little tricky to build but great to test. I builded it in the Plane Hangar testflight it several times to get the weight correct. Strapped some big Tanks under it and launched it into Orbit. Then i shoot Nuclear Engines up and docked them. And i had a Cross Section on it were i could dock Tanks so i could undock them inflight to shed weight. Getting my Interplenetary Vessel up needed 6 Missions and 5 docking. Thats the first part which would be trained, docking Maneuvers when you are confidential at them everything runs better. A good Beginner Docking orbit is 160km. You need a lower Orbit when you want to Catch up or increase it for slowing down relativly to your target. Reaching Minmus is more then Docking then reaching a Planet because of the small Gravity Well. Very Important is to Weight your Ship on the Launchpad or in Orbit. You can do it with changing into the Map and press info. Then you see the total weight. You need about 20% your Mass for Interplanetary Flight ( My Eagle MK5 had 7% which made it nearly impossible, MK7 had 20% much better) 1:1,5 for lifting of a landing zone. 1KN Thrust = 0,1 Tons of Thrust. Which means that 4 Nuclear Engines gives wou 200kn thrust Sustained or 20 Tons of Thrust. So a Ship with 300 Tons like my eagle is very hard to fly out. But when coming back with 100 Tons was easy to control. My Lander is Stock except some Nav Lights: Eagle MK5 on Eve: Eagle MK5 before leaving Kerbil, note the Rescue Ship Eagle MK7 on Minmus after dropping a Rudimentary Base carried under his Side ports: It weights fully loaded 120 Tons and got 196 tons Lifting Thrust, just enough Fuel for Orbiting Laythe. When you got this Design ready it is a very good and Stable Plattform with good Hover Abilities. But you need Action Groups for the Thrust changes. MK7 had 60Tons Thrust for traveling.
