  1. Hi there! The plan from the start was to make it an SSTO, which unfortunately caused the hangers to be smaller than I would have liked. Either way I am pleased with the way the vessel turned out, thanks for commenting!
  2. This is true lots of them do, but still the old wing part carriers did fine for the most part and I am a bit of an addict to weird looking large ships haha. My hopes for this vessel would be that she stays clear of the main combat zones and only attacks from further than load range.
  3. Thanks for the reply, with KSP I doubt anyone truly knows what they are doing haha! This ship would be pretty sound if it gets shot when squad fix the connections between MK3 parts, they have a 50m/s crash tolerance after all so the armour in terms of tolerance is far higher than a regular wing part (though they flex like a sausage). The main goal of this ship was to keep the part count low, while retaining plenty of options, the main purpose of carriers is that they are far enough from the fight to not be directly engaged while being close enough for the fighters to get into the combat zone, the rockets I have planned for this will have decent range and power making this vessel fairly deadly if it needs to be. Though I would prefer if it stays mostly peaceful in its hopefully long lifespan.   4. Hi, here's something I thought was pretty neat and looked unique, do let me know if you have any similar vessels as I would like to see them! [Description] This is Astro-Techs most recent innovation, an SSTO assault carrier with the facilities to move to another world to process ore, defend colonies or to just explore the system. It will eventually house up to 8 controllable missiles alongside being able to carry up to four fighters, alongside this it will have a mining ship docked on the top for a full complement of support ships. Its crew will consist of mainly engineers and scientists for its primary goal; to explore the solar system and possibly beyond while defending its assets from asteroids, hostile organisations or other.

Hello there, I have previously dreamed of making an RP series which would focus on combat elements and story within the stock KSP game, however after only 2 videos I scrapped the idea as I wasn't having fun doing it. However the recent update has presented an interesting new angle on this kind of content. I am currently creating a series of which I will role-play as the head of a brand new space company, starting from scratch in career mode eventually building up to large scale capital ships, carriers, mining vessels and combat. The in-game elements like reputation and money restrictions will add an interesting twist to the regular sandbox series, which I thought was pretty neat as I would have to carefully consider each launch I make and every move I make or face bankruptcy, humiliation and mistrust among the Kerbal society. Though it's starting slow as I am effectively re-learning KSP with the new aerodynamics I think it could potentially turn into something neat (see below the first few videos, they're starting slow but will progressively advance) Please let me know what you think and any recommendations that would go to making this better.

  7. Sounds good, trouble is my computer will start struggling around 350 parts, I might have to modify it a little bit. I'll update the thread in a few days with a submission e-mail for you to send designs to. They have to be 100% stock parts though, because that is how I like to play and record. I'm completely open to ship suggestions / submissions, so if you have battle cruisers / carriers around about 250 - 350 parts in size you can submit them (I will have to set up an e-mail for submissions though ).   9. Hi there, alongside a bunch of other people I am trying to create a similar series to what Maceydean had going. I guess I need my fix of a KSP-roleplay series too so I decided to try it out, I plan to add references to the original series that many, including myself, loved so much. The first video I have out is more or less showing the carrier I plan to base it around. I hope this is of interest to someone out there (I do plan to keep it as close to the original as possible, but please do let me know if you think it is too close to Maceys original series, I don't want to annoy anyone). Hey guys, in this video I show my colony ship inside its faring as it is prepared to be sent off to Duna, sorry about the resolution and water mark (and the frame rate, I don't have a good PC) I hope that someone finds this video entertaining, happy flying! *I am a noob of course when it comes to You-tube, so I am sorry that the video may not be up to scratch*
  11. Although I didn't do it today, I launched a mission to Duna (using a stock custom cowling / fairing) surprisingly went well, aero-braking looks bad-ass (even at 2fps xD)
  12. Well, this video isn't particularly useful, and it is pretty laggy for which I am sorry. But I decided to do a video showing a very small custom cowling thing to cover rovers and satellites I have used a massive one in another video inspired by both Katateochi's modded constellation video and pixel staches (<- I think it was him lol) mystery box video (unsure of the official name, sorry) . (The video where I used the big custom cowl / ferring is : KSP 0.22 :: 1 :: Mission launch ) I am also sorry for the resolution, frame rate and voice over as I am not a professional Youtuber. As pointless as this video is, I do hope someone can find it helpful. Happy flying! (Any feed-back on if or how this is / could be useful would be highly appreciated!)
