  1. I accidentally made an SSTO. Whoops.
  2. Watch a sci-fi movie, maybe. Research real-life concepts, plausible creations, or crazy ideas. Things like that really get me going. For only a few seconds of some guy's thrown-together slideshow of images from Defying Gravity's pilot episode, a spaceship orbiting Mars was shown. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else (barring the actual show), but I was so inspired by that shot that I had to make it in KSP, which I did. It's currently flying a test mission around the Mun and Minmus, and the design will soon be sent all around the Kerbolar system.
  3. Woah. How'd you get those amazing low-FOV zoomed-in shots? That looks great.
  4. I just wanted to say, Felbourn, I love your videos! You put so much work into each and every one with proper sets (sad they've wiped), high-quality editing, friendly commentary, science, and incredible ingame feats. That launch you spent extra time on in E26 was fantastic! I also loved learning about the ISS in Project Gateway. Also, where did you get that snazzy RCS thruster sound mod? --Joe8
  5. That... is the most beautiful stock shuttle I have ever seen. Congratulations Giggleplex, that is amazing.
  6. Yeah, this is the biggest grave digger since... I'm not sure. Pre .20 SPH? Eugh.
  7. How would the Autahi spaceplane generate lift? It's wings seem pretty small, unless it uses more of a lifting-body approach. Even then, it seems... less than ideal at that. Still really adbass-looking .
  8. Not much, but I just looked out the window of my new career mode station and saw... And I was listening to very inspiring music from 'The Right Stuff', too.
  9. *cough* Yeah, I really dislike those lurkers, I definitely wouldn't want to be one myself. *shifts nervously*
  10. When radioactive isotopes decay in KSP, producing heat for power, they don't actually lose mass/resources, and they last infinitely, so you're good.
  11. Wampa, what's that cool fuel tank truss thing you have? I've been looking for one of those.
  12. Wow, that effect with the red, green, and blue lights together is cool. I'll have to try that sometime.
  13. I actually experimented using Launch Escape System to eject top-mounted drop tanks. Not very efficient, as it adds over 6 tons, but it looks pretty cool.
  14. Hello, fellow rocketeers! I just wanted to share some of my sketches based on KSP and real life. My art skill has greatly improved over the course of a year, and you can really see the difference in these drawings. Also, the original copies of the art are much better looking; they didn't scan well. 'Liftoff' and 'Photos from Minmus' are from my slightly less skilled, past self. A much better-drawn sketch of the Orion spacecraft is soon to come, I need to get it polished up.
  15. What's going on with the Copernicus MTV? I know it was delayed, but was it scrapped entirely? It would be great to use for my Duna base...
  16. Now that this has been brought up... I'll make an Ark- ahuge, empty, 100-Kerbal interstellar craft with hibernation chambers, landing/exploration vehicles, and food for all of them. *begins furiously scribbling designs on a notepad*
  17. I'm pretty sure you can make sure the probes don't unload by using docking ports instead of decouplers to drop them, so that they are 'probes' of the original vessel. I tried this once with a (failed) droppable polar base. You can set up action groups to make the docking ports 'decouple' instead of 'undock'.
  18. Granted, but now income tax is up 237%. Your money belongs to the government now. I wish I had a pet squid.
  19. I can't wait for the Juno probe to reach Jupiter in 2016 (It just left Earth recently). Hopefully it will have amazing photos with its modern cameras and such. Also America gets a new president, and Star Wars Episode VII will come out.
  20. I love how sleek it looks, especially with that parachute/VTOL engine part. I need to use that on my own planes... Also, where are the vertical fins? Do you not need them?
  21. I had the demo, and I was TERRIBLE at KSP then. Every rocket I made exploded, and I couldn't get into an orbit until I watched a lot of tutorials. Now, I can build space stations, land on the Mun on a whim, and build bases on other worlds. Just be patient, watch Scott Manley, and practice, and you'll be an expert rocket scientist in no time! Also this is my first post.
