I've been trying to find someone to collaborate with in order to get some of my own parts into the game, I was wondering if you would be interested in a skill exchange; If I was to model and texture the parts, could you implement the into the game? I've had limited success but I find getting the scaling correct and setting up nodes too difficult and time consuming for me now (just got a new job). Let me know if you're interested, It would be nice to pass my project on to someone capable of finishing it and since I'm already experienced in modelling and texturing it should save you plenty of time with the early parts of addon creation.   4. Eventually, yeah definitely. I'm aiming to get the first pack down with 1.25m parts and some custom parts. Later down the line I'd like to make a 2.5m set with a dome styled cockpit to provide a really sweet IVA view but thats a long way down the road.

  6. Thanks! It's a good excuse to get my 3D game on after being locked into university work for the last 3 years. I spent all that time learning UDK only to find that Unity was the way forward! (typical!) Anyway, yeah the plan is to have IVA in there but my first goal is to get the very basics down. I've added a fuel tank but I've had a problem getting the nodes set up correctly. So my plan here is to overcome the problem with nodes, establish a standard size (instead of using rescaleFactor) and work 1-1 every time. I care alot about KSP, literally in my top 5 all time favourite games. So naturally, any content I create for it has absolutely got to be the best it can be.   7. So I decided to start making some addons for KSP a couple of days ago, thus far I've managed to implement a couple of basic parts while trying to learn the ins and outs of unity and KSP. Naturally things will get tougher for me as my ambitions increase but my ultimate goal here is to create an aerospace pack that provides some nice parts in a variety of shapes and sizes. I'll maintain THIS post with an image album and when there is a release it will be added here. I'm happy to answer any questions and I am open to any ideas you might have about parts you'd like to see in the pack. Another thing is, I'm always looking to collaborate. I enjoy working with other people towards a mutual goal and as such I'm open to offers on that front. WIP Album:
  8. Might be laggy but you can't tell on screenshots! Still looks fantastic though. I had a quick go at a spitfire, figured since it was a bubble canopy we gotta work with, it would work better if it was a Mk.24
  9. Not sure if this is just me but the lazor bomb seems to be missing from the weapons pack? well excited to give them a go like
  10. No I Don't think the propellers are counter rotating, it might just be that they only apply force downwards rather than generating actual rotary lift. I do however have the rear rotors raised slightly above the front as to avoid them colliding and to aid in forwards flight. The toughest thing with helicopters is getting the weight distribution right, since you don't have wings to generate lift on heavier areas, you have to position the rotors exactly above where the overall mass lies. On another note, I downloaded the part painter add on and it actually works with procedural wings! Shoveycat, is that 0.22? the space centre and base look amazing, not to mention the planes you made in it, loving the ww2 ones

Excellent music track on the C-17 video mate, for the B2 spirit I'd recommend the procedural wings mod to get the shape you need, they also maintain a good balance with lift (as not to make the aircraft cheaty) Quality post though, keep 'em coming. PS - F2 toggles User Interface and you could use Imgur to upload multiple images in a sleek little album.

Yeah I use Fraps (only just learned that f2 turns off the UI in KSP) then I use adobe premier pro to edit (learning as I go) but yeah fraps is good for the job man, even on my crap machine it still has a nice frame rate most of the time.   15. The F22 and the F14 both look great! looks like they fly nicely too, does the f14 have variable geometry wings? I was trying my hand at VGW using that magic smoke industries pack with all the movable parts. It's definitely possible! P.S Capt Snuggler pleeease do a video of that f14 doing a flyby on the control tower (with joe satriani guitar solo over it)
  16. I was gonna post my own thread offering up some 3D and texturing skills, however I've used your addons and they've been a massive help. Drop me a PM if you want me to model and texture some parts for you. (I'm not up to speed with unity but I've got a wealth of experience in other engines so I should be able to adapt no problem)
