  1. Oh! That makes total sense, for some reason my brain had locked that changelog statement on as 'added more' not 'moved existing and added more'. Cool, and thank you!
  2. Shortly after Breaking Ground was released, I found a Baobab Tree near the ksp, and used it to complete two of the "Do an X scan with a rover arm of a Baobab Tree" missions, and set up a small surface science station next to it. After Steam upgraded me to 1.7.2, I got the Advanced version of the mission, built a new rover with the recently unlocked large arm and drove out to my surface science emplacement... and the tree is gone. Sorry, don't have a screenshot from when it was present
  3. Do surface features disappear after a while? I found on of the Trees near the KSP, and set up some ground science equipment near it when I did the small arm scanning (per contract), it was still there when I came back with the medium arm, but is missing now that I have the large arm. The surface science is still there.
  4. Everything activates except "The outpost must be on wheels". Do small gear bays not count as wheels? If they don't, why is it giving me a contract that is impossible for me to finish due to lack of parts, as Landing is the only wheel science I have at this point. Verified that rover wheels work, now to send another outpost over to Minmus. Note: The requirement is "on wheels" not "has wheels", it's impossible to satisfy in the hanger (and would have been near impossible to test on the launch pad without stripping out the lift stage).
  5. You do not actually lose science by transmitting results, there is just some overlap. By my observation, the real pool of points for a particular report (location x experiment) is 1.33 * the base amount of science reported for a return (verified with surface samples, eva reports and crew reports). When you do a return, you transfer .75 of the points left in the pool to KSC. When you transmit you transfer .75*transmit rate to KSC, so for a .2 transmit rate, a transmit followed by a return you get 5% more science than for just a return.
