Satellite and cryostat tank have to be connected node to node. That should be it.
interesting... I have that exactly, yet I don't seem to be getting any science... could it be RealSolarSystem messing with the orbits or something? It SAYS i'm getting 0.5 science/day, but i'm not actually getting it. Doesn't matter if the station is in focus or not.

so, just a quick question from a noob to KSPI
How the hell do IR sattelites work in kerbal orbit? I've got some deployed on my station, right on top of filled, powered crystats. there's also a science lab and mobile processing lab, which are manned and powered. What am I forgetting?

So, is nobody else having issues with being unable to deploy radiators and solar sails? The rightclick menu shows none of the buttons it should.
EDIT: Nevermind, looking for more than 5 minutes shows I accidentally moved OpenResourceSystem :s Fail.

I've just installed these mods, and i'm loving it. a lot harder, and way more fun. but i've got a few small questions.
1 - Can someone explain to me how the seismic accelerometer works now?
2 - Is there a use to the gamma ray spectrometer? What are these hotspots and where do I see them?
I realize i'm probably posting in the wrong forum, and that these are modules from specific mods... but I have no idea how to hunt down where they come from

I've got a very basic question... maybe it's because of some other mod i have installed...
but how do I upgrade stuff? I can't find anything on the item, or the techtree.

This might just be me, but is there going to be a "lite" version without the signal delay? And further more a short guide would be great consider the whole way dishes work has me dumpfounded
Amen to this, I can't figure out how to set up a working network. I'm guessing I need more than just several probes with several antenna pointing at eachother and/or the space center?

So, in carreer mode, how do I actually use upgraded parts? I've bought them in the science building, but in the VAB it still says that it needs a purchase.

Sounds like the reactor did a SCRAM shutdown to avoid being damaged by Wasteheat, Fractal_UK implemented that feature in the new update. Make sure you've got enough radiators to dissipate the heat, then send out a kerbal to affect the reapirs on the reactor to restart it....
The shutdown feature was implemented IIRC to make sure your ship doesn't suffer a malfunction because nuclear reactors MUST run at a minimum of 30% power constantly. So not enough heat dissipation capacity means you may need a 4th section with more radiators in order to avoid a Reactor Meltdown.....
Ahhhh, many thanks. I didn't know it would do that. That's a lot easier to fix than flying up a new drive section.

First off, I love your mod. It's one of my top 3 KSP mods.
Second, either i've found a bug, or i'm being stupid about something. I've just finished building my 3-section awesome spaceship for a mission to Jool and her moons, including a 3.5m nuclear reactor and a thermal engine. Now, when I tried to burn out of orbit, I quickly ran out of Thermal Power, because for some reason the reactor is offline. Is that even possible? It's not full of DuF, nor is it out of UF. The generator is turned off, so that's not sucking up all the heat either.
Help?
