  1. the inital design with the mainsail module always ended up looking like it`d be missing a part or engine in its center bottom. with the Mk1 version of this, I had a poodle there simply for steering capabilities, but it didnt work out as I intended. then I had an orange drop tank replacing the poodle, which then got replaced by that quad srb, because it turned out to be more effective in that case. usually, if I use more SRB`s with this lifter, I attach them underneath a 1+1/4 orange which are connected to the horizontal reactionwheels to make up the first stage.
  2. 8900 m/s delta-V lifter assembly, consisting of a SRB assisted Mainsail-Module and that what I call a Turbo-Nukster for the orbital transfers. how to pilot: - full-throttle launch, adjust throttle accordingly after srb-separation to archieve more fuel-effiency - GravTurn attack angle 55-60° to start with, increase angle when approaching separation of turbo-nukster module (or: a rather steep ascend to pinch out of atmo, for the Turbo-Nukster to do it`s job properly) additional infos: - max thrust on the mainsails and srb`s have been tweaked down in order to not exceed terminal velocity, adjust depending on payload. - not much headroom left for large-sized payloads due VAB height restrictions - screenshot shows Flight-Engi mod, removed the part for it in the craftfile tho. - I`m sharing the VAB file, because there have been troubles with this shared as SUB, so make your own SUB from it, the root-part is the probecore on the very top. - build and used on 0.03 delta-physics-time, so it should be pretty stable on the launchpads everywhere I hope. - I`ve made this liftersystem and similar with intention to not have to rely on asperagus styled lifters anymore enjoy and 'splode!   3. awesome update, thx squad RAPIER? its soooo thirsty in vac mode but I`m glad I dont have to clip me a turboaerojetspike anymore I noticed alot less lag with high partcount and/or insane amount of firing engines, Im loving the way controlsurfaces behave now and my graphicscard runs abit hotter at lower usage than in bf4 (nothing critical tho). good hype, worth it

  6. steam -> library -> KSP -> properties -> updates -> force high priority makes steam download the update even when you are activly playing another steamgame to pass the time waiting on .23
