  1. Finished my Jool mission, having made stops at both Laythe and Vall. If I'd sent a third gas-tank up, I would have been able to swing a landing on Vaal, but alas. This nevertheless marks my first Kerbin-Jool-Kerbin manned round trip.
  2. When I looked at my lifter-capsule combo, I thought 'hey, why go to Gilly with this thing? I've got enough dV to make it to Jool!'. So I did. As I was leaving Kerbin's SoI, I actually looked at the lifter, noting it was out of gas. As I want to have a return trip from Jool for a change, I then immediately fired up another tank of gas after it; ironically, due to janky maneuvering, the gas will arrive several months before the people needing it will.
  3. Heat-based decoupling. How I got to Minmus at Tier 0, after all.
  4. I had a fairly substantial Ion rover back in .18. Weighed several tonnes, due mostly to the one-man capsule it carried, had a lot of solar panels on it, and could reach as much as 16 m/s on the flat. It used a pair of Ion engines to get it going. Turned like a cow.
  5. I finished my Duna expedition with Jeb. When I reached the SoI I got a bit concerned that I didn't have nearly enough dV to get off of Duna, but during aerocapture, it set me up perfectly for an encounter with Ike. So instead, I landed on Ike, and science'd the hell out of it. Then, a bunch of experiments and a 45,000m orbit over Duna for the better part of 200 days later, I was back to Kerbin, for a grand science total of 3021 for the entire expedition. Next; Gilly.
