Try burning "up" (away from Kerbin). To visualize this, pull out the blue pull-thing (what are these things called) in the maneuver node editor facing away from Kerbin. I'll edit in a screenshot in a second. Added.

Man, it's been a while since I posted on the forums... Anyways, attempted to install Final Frontier in my KSP Renaissance Compilation, and I ran into a slight (read: pretty big) problem. It seems that KSP isn't loading FF at all. I've made sure I put the files in the right place... All the FF lines from my latest log:

Just thought you should know. Any help would be much appreciated (Really want to give my kernels some recognition!)

No thats a Bogie, its a cheap little plane I made for firing on. It looks like one from a distance though. It has the same shape as a Kig but its designed to take off by itself so I can control the plane that is chasing it.
Although I DID have a quick skirmish with one of your Kigs (I think it was Kig 21) to test Lazor guided missile mod, but it was super OP so I uninstalled it.
Ha alright, just checking And really, this is a nice-looking plane. Really true to the F-4.

The rocket fuel tanks look cooler. Is there actually any difference...?
Oxidizer makes the tanks weight MUCH more.

Making an F4 Phantom right now My favorite plane in existence, even though 80% of the people I know says its hideous and flies like a bus. T_T (It DOES fly like a bus but its not hideous!)
This one flies like a bus too. Its decent to control in the air, but take off is really hard, you cant pull up until you drop off the end of the runway. This jet is capable of Mach 2.2, and is a very long range fighter, carrying over 1300 units of fuel. I'm considering taking it to the northpole since on my career world I havent been there yet.
Funfact: the F4 phantom currently holds the record for the highest flight of any conventional aircraft.

There is a multiplayer mod now but I don't know how well it works.
Ferris are you going to do other soviet / Russian fighters as well?
Well, I have a Yak-38 replica here, and a Tu-160 replica here. Other than that, maybe also probably gonna release some of my spacecraft as well.

NICE!...I've been using the RemoteTech mod alot, and sending up lots of GPS-CommSats, and have had issues with stability while getting them launched, cuz of having to build them UP, instead of OUT....Guess I need to start using Infernal now.
By the way, cy-one, what mod are those smaller dishes from?..I dont recall seeing those?

The MiG-23 was always my favorite. But isn't really possible in the Stock KSP because of the swing wing design.
Well, it obviously won't have folding wings but I'll see what I can do

Interesting concept! For my planes, I just slap some RCS on for easy reverse movement, but this is a more realistic - and interesting - option! Kudos!

Nice replica! These are some authentic-looking modules. Are you going to add on or keep it with just Zarya, Unity, and Zvezda? Also, what's the part count like?

I've been playing lately with RSS and I can give you a few tips. If you don't have Active Texture Management Installed, definitely try it out.
Another thing I could suggest is the AutoPruner plugin, which gets rid of fuel tanks and fairings in other mods so you only see Procedural parts.
Lastly, and the least known I think, is to use DDSLoader and the program DDS4KSP. This set of programs:
One caveat to using DDS4KSP that I've found: After converting your \GameData folder to dds, open the folder GameData\Squad\Contracts\ in DDS4KSP and use the "restore backups" option. If you don't, the icons for contracts in-game will be a bit buggy.
Using all of these techniques, I'm able to run RSS extremely easily. Just remember to read the documentation for all the mods and you should be set!
PS Bevo I love your vids! You should really make a tutorial for RSS, I had no idea what I was doing until I watched your career mode.
