have been using the tracks for a while now and enjoyed them is fun trying to land something on the moon with them the impact resistance helps with heavy landings often tho my tracks survive and things break off if i hit to hard but that is to be expected and is often fun to deal with

still loving the mod and some of the mods that have support the kelthane and with that are there plans if a money system is implemented that retrieved kethane can be sold to finance your space program? other methods of refinement? (kethane retrieved in different bioms could require different refinement methods) (been slowly trying to build a floating oil rig to get at some kethane on kerbans water LOL fun challenge) (KAS has helped) -

have been playing around with this mod a little bit added it to my tech tree so i can have it career mode and thought of some other posibilitys 2 other type of servay device requires you to be close to the surface range 2000m but it penetrates deep for kethane saturated ore ( requires special drill to extract and another device to refine ) then can be processed into normal kethane this could be use for long standing outposts and infastructure sell kethane for (money or science) good conversion 1000 kethane for .5 science till you can find the deeper deposits wont produce to much sciance maybe better return if returned to KSP i think i also saw a mention of water kethane any kethane extracted form water can have a different yield love going and gathering the stuff up have huge fule depot just stocked up on kerban and mun and a few km away have refinerys to keep lag down -

i think i suggested this else where but if science was staged if working on a project it would stop when the next stage was ready and you would have to do something get more rocks or water sample add goo form a container ore use tools , put a container outside to soak up solar radiation transfer form grav environment to micro g for the experiment to continue you must do these things if you just keep time warping it can pass a validity and the experiment can have unexpected results or become spoiled (clone a kerbal) (lose a scientist) (loss of all science stored form contamination in that vessel) a few ideas -

what if there is a mission planner built in you have options to tick and slider bars so many tons in orbit landed on a body retrieve objects... bring samples ( maybe you have to bring them back to ksp and not research them carrying them maybe have them weigh something. when you carry them back like bring back 1ton of moon rocks for museums of kerban so lil kerbals can have it, or add a lil story like the first kerbal or emperor kerbals wants real moon stone status symbol or some kerbal billionaire wants to give his wife an anniversary present and locate rare stone ( just bring back a lot of stone and it can have the materiel inside. or you need gas sample form a gas giant (new experiments in air fresheners) thos suits get stinky so many funny possibility if you read the part descriptions will have to keep in mind humor and lunacrist reasons behind things -

well to continue on a thought.... of active time - if some experiments required steps or the science stops certian rock samples used up so you have to go out and get more.. bring sample of kerban rock to moon or kerban water to moon and mix with mun dust once both things are active in the science lab the science will continue other ideas put out objects exposed to solar radiation add goo to samples and see what happens some things may require you to move entire exparments form base to station sample containers to carry or back if a base/ or station is busy an expariment can be ruined by the sample spoils or mutates unexpectedly maybe its own lil bits of science but end of that experment -

perhaps after optimization who knows when if they have certain types of crafts as once piece and appear for missions only example meet up with the k130 (like the c130) refuel and continue to orbit or land than it would unlock the craft for player defined missions ( never actually having control of the craft and deletes after the mission is accomplished) am sticking with a behavior apron undocking and maybe it deletes and is recovered say after a 5k distance if set to recover and assumes it was able to do it ( crew safe cost of remaining fuel and equipment refunded) unlock able prebuilt stations of other kerbal nations (or the ability to download player made creations all ready in orbit for a built in menu example some one has a stock space station in orbit an option to export it ( saves the altitude space ect ect and it is installed already in orbit in your world maybe even see there flag plastered on the object ) -

have watched things aloft crash when i switch to a rover on the ground over the space center it did not spontaneously explode -

well if you had to get fresh kerbals up there to keep new ideas going to further the research in a station so you have a reason to keep going back to a station rather than just resupply fule maybe utalize the kerbals smarts/stupidity that can modify how quickly you can gather the science form a project do get more or less efficient when you transmit methods of transmitting the data - antenna- -20% to amount gathered in that data due to static interference (range can also be a factor ect) small dish 0% no modification simple video and black and white pictures Large dish +10% wow technocolor - did it just turn green? beyond +20 or more - holographic / virtual manipulation? ( not relly but what they can say is happening ) maybe parts that are better variants of some of the basic sciences form goo canister or a goo vat 40% return to 60% equipment bay 20% to Microlap 40% it will save a lot on number of times you have to rerun experiments less clicky -

i know the physics are still calculated as debris for a fall or if you detach a thruster while active it stays on and keeps going is why i suggested a behavior selection crash - just crashes linger - will keep going till it runs out of fuel or you change its behavior (circling in the area) return and recover - changes corse to try to reach the space center ( does not need to actually land but will delete and auto recover i do understand some of the limitations and love to build bases rovers and beacuse of my large bases on mun and minus some of my structures i have almost a km apart my main focus is my mock of up a large assisted take off airplane that can take off and land with the other ship strapped to its back just crashes after i separate even with kerbals on board or a flight computer (probe core) have been also thinking of the usability aspect love my space station with rocket racks to reload my shuttle with an rcs space rover to do the rearm when docked but back on topic the recovery or ditching especially since money may be an issue of finances in the future the ability to do midair refueling would just be a fun challenge -
how would it work you have say an atmospheric vessel that says aloft large plane or even airborne carrier launching other craft form it while it stays aloft instead of just falling to the ground or midair refuleing could be nice meet up with a large lingering aircraft on set flight path fule up than continue to orbit ect ( easy to get into orbit i know but i like the idea of it as a challenge ) what i have been able to do is set my engeons in a delicate balance of hover then eva and grab some science while hovering ( you do get a special lil note when you do it by the way ) have created a large plane also to carry a second high enough to reach orbit with plenty of fule but my first place uncontrolled always crashes now if career mode has money that diminishes and recovery of craft to recap expenses the lost large plane would be a huge finance loss behavior settings could be nice ( linger, land, crash if possable does not even need to see the land or crash maybe it flys for a bit till it gets out of range and delete and recap losses form recovery) how would it be implemented? perhaps a behavior system could be implmented

not sure if it is possible the moons to move on an orbit and do they do in in kerbal based on gravity or set path my challenge to find out if it is possible to change a body like minus's orbit using thrust and if so to use engons put minus's orbit into an obvious elliptical orbit around kerban

perhaps if the the stations could be reinvigorated to generate science again for example adding mun samples or rock samples to analyze form other missions Replacement crew - allowing the kerbal's to come back to kerbin to get physicals utalize the stats of Stupidity for this ( perhaps the bar fills yellow till full for the amount of time they may spend on experiments before needing RR back on kerban ) but putting fresh crew or even having traits of science specialty on kerbals for research specialty giving reason perhaps some sort of science bonus for - since it was theory till it was done Successful space docking ( 2 separate launches to prevent a detach reattach ) actually space station components rather than rocket parts attached ( science bays sensors space debris collector, EVA safety lines or umbilical to give alot more eva while connected ) space observatory or telescope (maybe some sort of point and zoom ability while in eva of it then snap images of celestial bodies) with more detail in the space back drop where you goal is to keep pointed at points in space for listening to other star systems ( not for life necessarily but to understand the universe ) super novas/ black holes pulsars nebulas ) i don't think kerbals have the tech to go out that far but can develop science trying to understand it much like we do but space stations set up for long term expariments requiring many crew and things brought up to study
