  1. Indeed, the first uninstall was a quick one : only the "steam -> delete local files" way. You're probably right, an old mod may have caused the issues.
  2. (how do I change the thread subject from "unsanswered" to "answered" ?)
  3. Okay, I uninstalled the game again, this time deleting the KSP folder in Steam/steamApps/commons. Lost my saves and settings (were not really worth saving anyway), but the big bad bug is now gone.
  4. Well, after reinstalling the game, I was able to make 3 flights with none of the other bugs mentioned in the previous post, but the "unable to select a detached part" initial bug remains. It's weird because I never encountered it before, did many missions, went to the mun and (almost) back in sandbox mode. I stopped playing for a few month and just restarted in order to test the career mode, and now this ! Grrr
  5. Thanks Jan for yout help, but this does not work either. Besides I am experiencing other bugs (unable to "recover spacecraft" after.. um.. "landing", game freezes, unable to re-attach a part somewhere else after detaching it (without "placing" it apart in the meantime). I checked the "steam local files" and it says it's allright, but well... I just uninstalled KSP and started a fresh new installation, maybe this will solve all these glitches, I will let you know.
  6. Yep, I did rotate the scene to make sure the detached parts were first in depth, but it keeps selecting the main part of the ship (the one including the pod).
  7. Hi all ! I just started the "career mode", I built my very simple ship, earned a few science points, researched the "Basic rocketry" science, and came back to the VAB to improve my rocket. In order to add a decoupler between my pod and the fuel tanks, I removed the fuel tanks from the pod, put them aside, added the decoupler, so far so good. But then, when the mouse cursor is over the fuel tank + reactor group, it colors in red instead of green, and when I try to select the tanks in order to re-attach them to the pod-decoupler, it selects the pod instead. Therefore I'm unable to select the fuel tanks, and I have to start my ship all over again (at this stage that's no big deal, but it CAN be annoying at some point). Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks !
