Thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it. Also thanks for letting me know not understanding the IDE is not all in my head. I know what an IDE is (integrated development environment) It takes XML or what have you and helps you script for a specific thing (like KSP environment) script might look completely different if it were for a bot, even if it\'s in the same language. I find that managing files, programs is a serious pain with these. I like to know where all my stuff is and it wants to lump it all together and whatnot. A compiler takes what you wrote and turns it into a functional file. A program is a framework where you can script in if you make it that way. I would like to start with simple console scripts, and hopefully move into understanding different programing environments. Please correct me where ever I am wrong, and if you could point me in the wright direction of learning how to console compile/write console scripts. Thanks a ton!

I know a lot of people on this forum are proficient coders... However every time I try to take a C++ tutorial and run with it I can never get past working with the compiler/ Getting it to compile, even a copy/paste hello world script.... I have done some light scripting. (TI-83 simple programs) And took a look at some java bot script, but otherwise have have 0 experience and would like to start getting (actually) good with computers. Everyone I know thinks im some sort of genius when I fix there computer but I know better, I want to learn the real stuff.

Industrial Flames & Explosions, Inc. - Version 1.4.2 Now Available!

These rockets are awesome. However you need to go through part by part, set some sort of standard thrust/weight/capacity per sq/m and redo all of the cfgs. After that, you should scale back on the delta V and release an experts pack or something. -
Managed to get to 100m in 1:17 with Silisko edition. No red Gs

Yes, ASAS is a mad dog. It needs to take in to account the assets/Rigidity&mass to determine aggressiveness while also slowing down a bit on larger rockets.
-
I think RCS works better for translation if you have them grouped towards the top of the rocket. That being said, you should put the regular SAS back in the pack. Considering the ASAS makes gimballing rockets go wild, it\'s really not usable. Also, the regular SAS in needed for landers. Since the ASAS takes control, I can\'t use RCS to kill lateral momentum like I prefer too. 3m Fairing is needed for landers.

Please reduce consumption of the two smallest engines. They have lower Power/consumption then the big ones, which dose not makes sense.

safe is not very kerbal

Struts are your friend, bwana.

I like the way this mod pack realistically scales. Just strut it up, (what would it be like building a house without a core structure of beams) to solve wobbling. The vixen needs more thrust or less consumption though, it is horribly inefficient. (at 8 consumption(stock LE) it would have 120 thrust)
-
I just blow up my stages with exhaust Also, it appears the area formula is slightly more complecated than I remember. The 1m SRB should be 4x as powerful as the .5
-
Ohhhhhh, nice. Those never seem to work for me though. Also, I modified some of the thrust and weight values of the engines. The thin long SRB I downed to 60 thrust. The Big long SRB I gave 180 thrust going from 4 mass to 6 (60X3 since it\'s twice as wide and pie and all) Stock one is now 40 second burn time with 180 thrust, with a weight of 3. Since it is as thick but half as long as the bigger one. Changed consumption of the small 1m liquid to 3 so it is usable. Reduced weight and thrust of 2m small slightly Increased consumption and weight of big 2m slightly. I think by doing those things all of the parts are now usable.

The problem is you don\'t have enough boosters.... Anyways I think the A-SAS is bugged since it dose not do anything. The medium engine is worthless, since the big one is more efficient by 50% more or a 3rd depending which way you look at it. Engine weights are so low that efficiency and sufficient thrust is all that really matters. I like the boosters, though I think the big one should burn for 80 seconds, considering it weights twice as much and has twice the thrust burn time should be equal. The 2m engines weigh the same and have the same efficiency. So there is no point using the smaller one. Other than that you obviously put a lot of work into this pack, and I do like it over all. It\'s more challenging then the normal mod packs and feels more rocket like since stages burn fast.
-
I think being able to get off a planet an 11th the size of earth in one stage is perfectly realistic. That being said, your mod certainly makes it more challenging, which is good in my book. Also, could you ditch the 1.75 in your regular parts pack, 2m is where its at.

My best is about +-100m. @90km Achieved by RCS burns. At that point the you really need more precision in the orbital map. Parachute-Pod-L SP light decouple- RCS tank W Ring- SP decouple - SAS- Challenger Soyuz X4 W 4 SP small liquid. Great little rocket, achieve orbit with one stage. Use RCS for adjustments and de-orbiting.
