  1. One day I tried to 'land' on Jool to see if there was even some sort of 'ground'. I went to -250m before exploding due to Kracken effects...
  2. Mun is my favorite. It started my adventures when I was new to KSP. I do truly love the Mun, as I wouldn't be out at Eeloo without it!
  3. I have an awesome kerbal named Castillian Kerman. He's my second best test pilot, next to Jebediah Kerman. I think these two are related in some kind of way, since they're never afraid.
  4. @Commissioner Tadpole That's actually pretty cool. You can post the rest if you want to! I kinda had a similar idea for A.K.A.U Flight And Command Division, but it started differently, where it began with a couple of smart scientists stealing parts from other companies. They'd get some black spray paint and spray it all over the parts, then see about how to make it better. These scientists then hired a kerbal named Castillian Kerman, a kerbal with traits similar, but not exactly the same, to Jebediah Kerman(I think they might be related in a distant kinda way.) He's now the top test pilot in my Space Program. @mangekyou-sama That's really neat! Nice logo too @larsmaehlum Thanks! I actually plan on making a second version of my flag. I'm also gonna eventually try learning how to make my own parts, so I could have a really epic version of the MkI Plane Cockpit
  5. In test version, Jeb is in an orbit around the Mun after testing a high speed shuttle. In main version, he's relaxing after a couple of years of doing research in the places like Jool's moons
  6. Lol. My flag is supposed to look high-tech and cool. Of course, that's exactly how it also is for my scientists and engineers. I also have an assembled crew of experienced kerbonauts who've been around the longest (And must I mention to hell and back?) the top kerbal being, of course, Jebediah Kerman!
  7. Interesting! Did you ever make a flag before?
  8. I designed my own Company in the world of KSP called A.K.A.U (A Kerbal Among Us) Flight And Command Division Its really just a fancy company for when I take parts and retexture them to be stealth black and edit the CFGs. I have my own flag I designed: PRODUCTS Really, I just edit stock parts/mod parts for my own use. Stuff usually ends up looking somewhat like this. Pretty good boat, huh? Do you have one for your company/space center? Also, if you have any kind of back-story to your company, post it!
  9. Sammin Kerman (also known as Salmon) slips off a ladder during a test run of a new unmanned car while attempting to pick up another Kerbal. Before: After:
  10. I'm always excited to make new planes/rovers in the SPH, so when the time comes, I make ALOT of experimental prototypes. I already posted a thread on my best shuttle, the SRPS Eagle. Ill show you pics here. SRPS Eagle around Sentar (PlanetFactory) I've decided to set aside plans for the SRPS and instead work on a VTOL I've managed to design a VTOL with rotatable engines.Since it is a prototype, I called it the Proto-VTOL1 (P-V1 for short) PV-1 on the runway Activated the engines, taking off vertically Rotating engines for horizontal travel I travel around for a bit, testing to see how sturdy it is, and then after a bit, I safely splash down in the sea Ill post more projects soon, but until then feel free to share yours! Im also open to suggestions on future projects!
  11. My latest Rover Misadventures! I tested my first version of the new ATRR (All Terrain Research Rover) Celtanus MkIII. I tried doing a fold-up wing design, but it turned more of into a wheelie machine with wings on the sides... I activated brakes to stand my rover up on two wheels. I used heavy RCS to make an attempt at lifting it lightly into the sky. Thats when everything went all kinds of wrong. End result... I used Procedural Wings for the wing parts. Very helpful mod, I highly recommend!
  12. They go with the Kosmos mod pack. I'm building a second version with the resized rover wheels from LLL right now. I plan on having the hinges from the Infernal Robotics mod and making collapsible wings on the sides. Flying rovers sound good to me.
  13. All you gotta do is stick to Kerbin until you get enough science and new parts to be able to go further than a Kerbin orbit. Good luck getting places though! Great pics btw
  14. Tried designing an awesome-looking rover. It has a habit of flipping on turns
  15. When I first got KSP, I was really excited about the SPH (Since I like planes ALOT) so I decided to try the controls with some of the stock planes as usual. I thought up some really cool ideas of some sort of spaceplane that could handle both atmosphere and that vacuum of space everybody knows alot. Took some weeks to think out, but of course, school and stuff made me have to take a pretty long break. I returned to KSP a few months ago, in September 2013. I decided that I'd use my old skills (Which rusted up alot) and maybe look for some mods. My way of playing is more of one huge experiment. I do use infinite fuel sometimes, but like I said, huge experimental stuff. One day, I was prepped with Novapunch and a couple of other mods, plus my brain (Aka imagination and thought). I started making a sort of spaceplane that focused on having some pretty big wings, but lots of stability and thrust. These ideas went through a gauntlet of ideas, from basic design to crew capacity and sciency things. Well, those ideas started with what I call the S.R.P.S (Standard Rocket Propelled Shuttle) Eagle. At the time I thought up the main design for it, being a small shuttle with not many chances of getting to places like Eeloo. I took some wing connectors from stock parts, as well as structural wings, and I put the Heavy Control Winglet from Novapunch mod at the end. I noticed how there was lots of space under the wings (As I placed the wings form the top of the fuselages) so I put some heavy RCS (once again from Novapunch parts) Under there. Tested it, went pretty well. I don't actually have any screenshots from the prototype, but I do for the first true build here. I managed to tweak it a bit. Since I enjoy messing around with my own game and editing config files to turn parts into ridiculously unrealistic stuff that nobody would probably use, I configured a regular Aerospike Engine to send stuff at about a thrust power of 2500.00 at Max throttle. Rediculous, I know. But anyway, I decided I'd make this actually work. As you see, its small, and with my modded engine meant only for experiments, I was able to make that go into a kerbin escape before making a new version. I wanted something with a bit more room for equipment, and DEFINITELY much larger in order to better handle my cheat of an engine. This idea created a much larger version of the original S.R.P.S Eagle. I shouldn't keep anyone waiting, this thing has gotten pretty lengthy. I made the main fuselage part longer, made the wings themselves pretty big (Lots of lift in that design, made it quite a glider), even added some more RCS for space. (During my time in the SPH, I decided to tab out for a sec and head to Spaceport to find planet expansion mods. I HIGHLY recommend Krag's Planet Factory.) Before the big test flight, I decided I'd check these new planets. Two words that'd go together. Curiosity and Exploration. Turns out this mod engine wont be so bad after all, considering how far out those planets were. Following some check-ups to make sure my SRPS is sturdy and ready for flight, I give myself the green-light for the big flight. (Starting to hate myself for forgetting to take screenshots of the entire flight) I start out with an orbit (Success) then a Kerbin escape (Success) and now to decide where to go first. After taking a few detours, I decide to head for a planet in the PlanetFactory mod-Sentar. This thing is farther out than Eeloo and bigger than Jool it seems. I manually make maneuvers (I prefer manually, unlike Mechjeb, which I tried once and didnt like it) and like your usual far out and planned encounter nodes, the wait is about 1 to 4 years in-game. I use the Warp to wait (Took forever) and guess what? I'm rewarded with a really good encounter with Sentar. If you're still reading (Hopefully) then here's the rest of the story. I get into a Polar orbit with Sentar, and I take some Screenshots of the moment. Mods I used were: Lack Luster Labs Editor Extensions Planet Factory Romfarer Lazor System Novapunch (Even with cheats, its fun to do some in-depth research and experiments on making great stuff! ) If anybody wants to see my latest work on the SRPS, feel free to ask me here!
  16. I'm much better at sending spaceplanes into orbit and never really bothering sending them back home! Good job!
