  1. I have tried this before the original post. Issue is still occurring. Seems like everyone is stumped on this one.
  2. Just a small windows desktop gadget (site page here: http://addgadgets.com/pc_meter/). Pretty much as you would expect. Disabled it and problem/load times are the same.
  3. Thanks for the help so far. Disabled and/or uninstalled as many programs as I could. Disabled a few programs from the startup group using msconfig. These are the now the only tasks currently running. Still having the same problem.
  4. Neither of those programs is installed or used on this computer. KSP version 1.2.0.1586 (WindowsPlayer x64) Screenshot of where the program hung the longest. The entire loading process was very slow. Description of problem above. You can see the time it took to load in the KSP.log file text time stamps. Other programs load normally, from Steam or from their executables. KSP.log file: http://pastebin.com/14XJ0MxY DxDiag.txt file: http://pastebin.com/stuz64gZ
  5. I am stuck at the "Loading Asset Bundle Definitions" Running the application from Steam I have Verified the integrity of the Game Cache and no problems were found. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. There are no mods installed. I have tried launching the 32bit and 64bit applications and both hang at approximately the same part of the loading bar. This is all odd because last weekend the application started just fine, but this weekend the issue started. There have been no hardware or software changes on the computer. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: The game did finally load, but the load time was extremely long, about 20 minutes. Normal load time used to be much less. Any ideas why the load time would have increased so much?
  6. I almost didn't post because I was afraid what I was suggesting was too similar. From what I've read they plan to implement a giant part that allows you to transmit back the important data. In this case I'm bringing all of the parts back into orbit and I really just need to transfer the data (or even just some of it to encourage repeat missions) from one pod to another. Sounded like a good idea in my head since I was basically simulating the apollo 11 mission.
  7. I searched the forums for a similar suggestion and could not find one. If this is a repeat I apologize and please delete my post. Also, if the planned science changes include this type of mechanic I apologize. Sorry for the wall of text. TL;DR summary: Is it possible to have the Kerbin's use those yellow sticky notes in the pods to transfer some of their reports from pod to pod or from the instrument to a command pod? I understand it may be an intended mechanic to tie reports to certain parts but, here is the situation I encountered and my suggestion: I launched a rocket with two pods, a mk1 lander can and a mk1-2 command pod. After I reach orbit and then transfer to the celestial body I want to reach I undock the craft from one another and do a powered landing with the lander can (some eva and docking steps not mentioned). After I reach the surface, plant a flag, and run/drive around having fun for a little while I complete my experiments and hop back in the lander can. All of my science gadgets attached to the lander can and my EVA and surface sample now also associated with the lander can. I reach orbit, dock with my orbiting craft, EVA back to the craft, and head for home. The suggestion involves the reaching kerbin. I can choose to have my command pod re-enter Kerbin and splash down in spetacular fashion by itself but, I lose all of the science I performed on the surface of wherever I landed (from science parts, EVA, and surface samples). And as far as I know the only way to keep that data is to bring the lander can back to Kerbin with me. I can think of ways to keep all this science by modifying the ship and my flight plan but, wouldn't it be nice if the Kerbin's could utilize all of those yellow sticky notes in the pods to copy down some of the details of the reports (from pod to pod or from the science parts)?
