  1. It's possible that it is just a mod conflict, but on 1.2.2 it looks like 6.6.0 crashes the game while 6.5.2 works fine. This makes sense to me, what with 6.6.0 being compiled against 1.3 and not 1.2. The problem is that 6.6.0 is marked as compatible with 1.2.* in CKAN. I just rolled it back by hand, so I'm fine, but I thought someone might want to take a look at that. Josh
  2. Update: The following mods must also be hard links when Targetron is installed: Active Texture Management Basic 3.1 KW 2.5.6B At this point I gave up on the idea of using symlinks and Targetron at the time.
  3. I'm crashing using 1.4.1 on linux 64 bit. I'm using no other mods. I start KSP, create a new career game, go to VAB, select a pod, launch, and crash back to the OS. Here's the weird part: This only happens when the GameData/Targetron folder is a symlink. I do this with all my mods to make it easier to switch mod selection when switching between games. None of my other mods (about 40) display this behavior. Here's the log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byg6q2iWac-iUTF3bGNoVmkxVWs/edit?usp=sharing Any ideas? I'd like to use the symlink trick on Targetron instead of making copies for each game. Update: If either Targetron -OR- 000_Toolbar is a symlink there is a crash. Toolbar alone has no problems running from a symlink. Is targetron accessing 000_Toolbar for some reason? Is it using ../ in paths?
  4. 32 bit works fine, 64 bit with 1/2 sized textures crashes upon entering the VAB.
  5. @Addle, I have encountered that bug before, but never mentioned it. It is a pain, especially if you have not otherwise saved your work.
  6. Nope, just Squad and NASAmission. I installed it on a fresh D/L from Steam just to be sure. I start the game, go through the little phone home dialog, start a new game (default, career), go to the VAB, and it crashes after a second or two without ever showing the PartCatalog interface. Here's the complete log file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byg6q2iWac-idEg5Sm9xREZUVzA/edit?usp=sharing. It kind of smells like a Unity bug, maybe they are handling dlls in a slightly different way on linux ... I can try the 32 bit version as well if you think it would be informative.
  7. I'm running the 64bit Linux Steam version, and 3.0 RC4 causes a crash. Here's the logs: Kerbal Space Program - 0.23.5.0 (LinuxPlayer) OS: Linux 3.13.0-27-lowlatency Ubuntu 14.04 64bit CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 Processor (4) RAM: 7982 GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 (1024MB) SM: 30 (OpenGL 4.4 [4.4.0 NVIDIA 331.38]) Log started: Sat, Jun 21, 2014 17:32:41 [LOG 17:32:44.434] Load(Assembly): PartCatalog/Plugins/KopiLua [LOG 17:32:44.435] AssemblyLoader: Loading assembly at /home/jbabcock/KSP/Kerbal Space Program 0.23.5 B/GameData/PartCatalog/Plugins/KopiLua.dll [ERR 17:32:44.473] Failed to load assembly /home/jbabcock/KSP/Kerbal Space Program 0.23.5 B/GameData/PartCatalog/Plugins/KopiLua.dll: System.Security.SecurityException: Assembly /home/jbabcock/KSP/Kerbal Space Program 0.23.5 B/GameData/PartCatalog/Plugins/KopiLua.dll tried to use forbidden type System.Diagnostics.Process! I'd love to see this fixed. Partcatalog is one of my favorite mods. Also, where can I get an older stable version? I seem to have deleted my old DL zip that I was using before ... Josh
  8. Is there some data structure that I can get my ship's current stage number from? I can't find anything in the docs except list parts which does not help me.
  9. I cobbled together some config files so that KSP would show a custom icon in KDE apps and the task manager. For non-super user installation, uncompress the file in ~, for super user installation (not that that would generally happen being a steam distributed app) uncompress the file in /usr. I think this might be a nice thing to include in the package, perhaps with an itty-bitty script to put them in place. This might work better as a shar archive, so that a user could just run it from the install dir and have the files copied out to the real world. I don't know where the icon came from, but the text files are my original work and they are free to use for any purpose with no licensing or restrictions. THE FILE
  10. Great addition. I use this so much that I made my own set of icons to go with my organizational style. Here they are for everyone else to use. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byg6q2iWac-iYTlCS1IwQjBfX00/edit?usp=sharing
  11. Currently, It looks like with 0.23, MechJeb 2.1.1.01, and FAR 0.1.2.3, MJ gets either a 0 (even at mach speeds), or NaN, for aerodynamic drag, and then calculates an infinite terminal velocity. I like MechJeb and having the terminal velocity available to get an efficient launch more than I like the idea of FAR, so I'm going to drop it until the problem gets fixed.
