  1. You can't technically prefer it versus something that you have no knowledge of, you can simply feel that it is fine the way it is.
  2. I personally don't do it, but I really don't care what someone else does in their game, on the list of things that matter in this universe, the method someone else achieved digital simulated success doesn't even appear. Cheating and hacking are primarily concerns in competitive multi-player games, so if multi-player includes a "capture the flag" mode where each person has a base on an asteroid and you have to be first to get someone else's back to yours I might care, but I still doubt it! Addendum regarding MechJeb and the like; if real space programs had to fly with a keyboard and mouse alone, and the meters we have available... they'd have a lot more disasters on record.
  3. Alpha is a game until all systems are in place (Current vision wise), beta until all content using those systems are in place, then gold once bug squashing has been performed on that content complete status. Addendum: Puddin sounds like someone who has never worked on a game or software product, as such I suggest OP educate themselves before speaking so brusquely.
  4. My first launch I didn't know about supports, and I didn't know about throttle... there was a very short trip from the spawn point back to the ground and a series of explosions. Attempt number 2 actually went...
  5. So in your opinion the game isn't finished yet? Huh who woulda thunk it : P
  6. While this is true, the last patch was a large optimization pass with performance increases geared towards the lower end of the player base... exactly the people you'd need to pull up to speed before expanding the solar system. They also did some general planetary load improvements I believe... which would once again lend towards system expansion... I just want new planets though : /
  7. I am aware that we're all bored with Curiosity and Mars by now what with this having been more than a few weeks ago but I just stumbled upon this video and well... It is going here for obvious reasons.
  8. Probably fake, neat if not.
  9. I feel like .23 was a great overall playability upgrade. The pacing, smoothness, and interface all took nice updates (Tossing tweakables in with interface because all it's really doing is making things always possible intuitive and accessible), and I think it puts them in a much better place going forward to expand the game. Keep in mind that in order to expand the scope they will occasionally need time to go back and tighten all the loose nuts and bolts from old code. Resources were not canned, resources as they were being planned were canned, they are hoping to involve them in a much more fun and involving way later which I think is better for the game overall. We have Kethane as a great example of what can be done with a mod and nothing is stopping other people from making their own resource mod to expand upon / replace Kethane.
  10. And tons of readouts... etc. We'd have never made it to the Moon with a mouse and keyboard.
  11. No offense to anyone, but if you're not going beyond Minmus then yes the Science lab is kind of a bit more work than is necessary to get the Job done, but once you're talking 2 interplanetary trips then the time, resources, and challenge starts to sway back in favor of the lab. Take Jool and all of it's moons, one lab in orbit around Jool and a small crew of bots could handle that entire planetary system. As for it's payout, the lab shouldn't give transmitted points, it should give half value for returned results. Since the sample was infact tested in a lab by scientists, but the results should be half as much as a valid specimen return because you can't ebay it later.
  12. KSP is a product of it's mods, and the developers are smart enough to not only support their modding community, but to actively adjust their vision based on what is proven and found fun within the test bed of the modding environment. Anyone who mocks the mods clearly doesn't understand Squad or KSP very well.
  13. I saw Steam updating and my heart skipped a beat, jumped to that window.. "CURSE YOU ROME TOTAL WAR 2!!!!"
