  1. i've just found that Spiritualized's fantastic album Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space is very good background music for KSP especially these three songs! all wonderfully spacey and beautiful (and i even see some inspiration for KSP's own music in that last song!)
  2. I wouldn't say that this is the sort of thing that the SCP site accepts - they don't like video game parody SCPs. However, I do like this quite a bit. Reminds me of another SCP which was about a computer whose cursor you could move outside of the screen and mess around with the real world.
  3. Kerbal Space Program 0.24 - Mission Control Speaking!
  4. Agreed. The dV meter should be supplied in the Tech Tree only at the approximate point in which the player is after journeying to the Mun and Minmus, and is considering interplanetary missions. That way, it doesn't take away the fun of early trial-and-error while exploring the Kerbin system, nor would it confuse new players who don't have that firm a grasp on orbital mechanics yet.
  5. I don't know, Pol just seems a bit too over-the-top for me to enjoy its scenery. Vall takes my vote. (I've always liked the color blue, anyway. )
  6. Today, I managed to get into orbit around Minmus (which I've never done before) and, thanks to my recently-acquired MechJeb, even land on it (somewhat awkwardly, I might add - due to not having landing legs or any stabilising feature, my rocket managed to fall on its side). Richford Kerman explored the surface for a bit and put a flag on the landing site. Despite the fact that the whole rocket was on its side, I used Minmus' very low gravity to my advantage and was able to use the surface as a runway, eventually getting back into orbit. Surprisingly enough, I still had enough delta-v to transfer back to Kerbin and even position myself for a landing. However it was only then did I realise I made the rather unfortunate mistake of not including parachutes in my spacecraft and I did not have enough fuel left to fire my retrorockets, so everyone crashed and died. Thank goodness for quick saving before landing on Minmus, I guess. In the end, I might not have actually landed on Minmus (paradoxically speaking, of course), but at least I successfully got my Kerbals to Minmus orbit and back. Which I guess is quite something.
  7. KSP recently garnered my attention two months ago, thanks to my best friend at school (as well as a few kurtjmac videos) and I ended up buying it as part of my birthday in November. I certainly haven't regretted my decision, believe you me! So far I've spent about 45 hours (on-and-off) on it, going so far as sending three Kerbals in an orbit around the Mun and then arriving safely at Kerbin (as well as sending numerous xenon probes there). I can't say that I'm an expert at this game (at all, really) but I'll keep trying my hardest. Oh dear, I almost forgot to actually introduce myself! Where are my manners? :/ I'm NobodyIP (aka William), and I live in Ireland. As well as playing video games, I enjoy reading (preferably sci-fi or horror), writing and drawing, the latter of which I do an awful lot. I hope to have a great time here!
