  3. EDIT: Forgot to mention, this was for Inglonias + others having trouble getting a working Silisko design. Try my Munar III, attached. 1. Launch the boosters. 2. Jettison the bottom boosters. 3. Activate the next stage of boosters. 4. Jettison the ones on the side which have a longer burn time. 5. Jettison the remaining boosters. 6. Use the heavier engines to get you up and begin to create an orbit. 7. Use the next lighter stage to create a highly elliptical rendezvous orbit and meet up with the Mun, slow yourself right down horizontally so you\'re falling straight to the Mun, use any spare fuel to brake, then jettison and use the lander\'s little engine to come to a stop on the surface. (Sounds difficult, after 1 or 2 tries you\'ll be able to do it with a 99% success rate, believe me.) 8. Roll around or sutin. Talk to the Muntians. Whatever. Use some RCS, but not ALL of it... 9. Get yourself back in a circular orbit, then do the same as in 7, create a bit of an elliptical orbit out from the Mun. Chances are when Kerbin picks you up you\'ll be in a massive circular orbit again. (Remember, you are moving at the speed the Mun is!) Use remaining fuel and RCS to drop the speed. When I was out there I was only at a few hundred m/s, in a slightly wonky and elliptical orbit. It takes little to no fuel to drop your orbital speed low enough to hit Kerbin. 10. Remember to get rid of the lander stage here at some point! 11. And activate parachute! 12. Landed. Munar IV will support parachute landing of the pod back on Kerbin.
  4. Finally after uncounted attempts and dead Jeb clones, I can report a complete success. Really liking these vectored thrust engines, used them in my first stage and wow, talk about an easy trip to orbit! Also used one on the lander but mainly so the winglets would hit the ground first. The two key pieces for me were saving lander fuel by using the cruise stage for primary descent, jettisoning it at about 5km up. That along with choosing a landing spot so that straight up launched till Munar escape velocity gave me a retrograde Munar orbit that was easily turned into an atmosphere braking maneuver on the trip back. Oh and yeah all stock parts - who said I wouldn\'t need wings on the Mun!!!

  12. We consider that humans that use the system are equal, on the average. This removes the 'I know some stupid metric users ' and the ' I know some very smart imperial users ' - and vice versa - out of the equation; they no longer matter. Now you can talk about the systems. One is consistent in it\'s steps, the other one is not. That\'s all there is to it. The definition of a meter does not matter. That\'s preference. i have no idea how heavy 10 stone is; I might not have any idea how much 2 meters is; but once I know that 1 meter is 100 cm, 2 meters becomes 200 cm easier then 10 stone becomes pounds. What we are doing here is removing the human problem, and argueing about the inherent superiority. Actually, the definition does not matter one bit; the superiority lies in the system, not in the values or definitions of the units therein. Powers of 10, that\'s what it\'s all about.
  13. Yeah but if you\'ll go ahead and re-read what I typed, you\'ll realize that the game is the game and reality is a totally different thing. The orbital data tables will still exist and make just as much sense when you\'re using different units. What I\'m saying is, it doesn\'t matter what the names of the units are, because you\'re only going to be using them to talk about things that occur in-game. Like the orbital data table applies to the game and only to the game. That means it could be written in kilokerbals, bum-dingers, hoop-whingers, it doesn\'t matter. This thread is about imperial vs metric, but what I\'m saying is that whole argument misses the point that it doesn\'t matter how the units relate to real life because you shouldn\'t be relating a GAME to REAL LIFE.

Firstly, Metric is more exact - you never really need to say that a number is *approximately* this or that, and also the difference is that you can find out what a decameter is once, with little need to put effort into remembering, while with imperial you have to remember lots of values which are all crazy with little relation to each other. Also, Aliv3, stop acting like you have control over this! We aren\'t arguing over you or your suggestion whatsoever, we are just debating about Metric and Imperial. So, no offence but learn that we can talk about what we want, we aren\'t obliged to talk about your suggestion.
  16. How are you going to code in C without someone else writing the assembly code to allow you to write C in the first place. Nowadays C and a good compiler are perfectly valid solutions but you supposedly get more control writing manually (and probably more bugs). I can\'t really talk though seeming as I can\'t write C or any assembly.
  17. Personally I am at an impass for myself. I am not against it and will not give anyone any greaf about it until I watch an episode. But I have a friend who has a rusted old scalpel and he hates My Little Pony and I he continues to talk about something happening like in the story cupcakes. oh and becoming an entry level assassin is easy. You just need a weapon and some training. There is a reason not many assassins exist above entry level!!!!

  22. Hello! I've just registered here:) KSP is probably my favourite game as of now, mainly because of the amazing 'If kerbals die, take new ones from a box' theme and awesome developers, who actually talk to the people and listen to our (sometimes stupid) ideas:D So yeah, hello!
