  1. I am posting on different sites looking for a mod Dev that might be able to help. I am looking for shareables, Mods, parts, etc.. compatible with 1.6.1. and newer. To build CLASSIC Flying Saucers like in the old movies and TV shows. I have found some, but they are not compatible with KSP newer than 1.3.x. I was told to use procedural tanks, but that mod died a long time ago. I do not do much posting so I am not sure yet how to add a picture to this post.
  2. I messed with KSP years ago and just found a version listed as a free demo 1.2.9. My question is has anyone made a old fashioned flying saucer, like in the old movies? Or know which mod pks will have all the bits and pieces needed to build one from scratch?.
  3. A revisit of my previous Kraken Drive fairing flying saucer, re-equipped with infinite fuel engines. It's loaded with science equipment, which are all activated with action group 0. It's got a walkable interior that your kerbals can stretch their legs in. While supposedly it has artificial gravity generated by thrust, the game doesn’t understand it so if kerbals are in the craft interior while the craft is flying they’ll just bounce around on the inside. https://kerbalx.com/goduranus/Flying-Saucer
  4. Hey guys I searched around a bit but couldn't find a way to contact this person directly and thought they may be on here. His names ImpossibleAviation on KerbalX and he made this ridiculous flying saucer. This thing is awesome, great IVA environment. My problem is, I can't figure out how to get out of the thing. It uses all external seats with no command module and I can't find a hatch or way out. Hoping to find ImpossibleAviation for an answer here but if anyone wants to d/l the craft and play around to figure it out that'd be awesome also; the craft is awesome. Thanks guys!
  5. I know it is a shameless repost (already posted it in the generic SSTOs thread) but I had enough good feedback to give it a topic of its own. So, the craft is a flying saucer in the Grendizer style. It can just reach LKO and get back home (or dock anywhere in proximity of 85x85). Considered the huge overall drag it is a very good flyer, allowing extremely low landing speeds and the common flight envelope required for an airplane (looping/tonneaux standard aerobatics - very good stall recovery). It is indeed a little nose heavy and it suffers from a lack of power at high AoA, but hey, it is a dish surrounded by a teapot... If anybody wants to give it a try >>>HERE<<< it is the link. (and here the imgur album) 1) toggle rapiers 2) switch mode It takes off by itself, no input needed apart from full throttle. Climb above 10000m as soon as you can (not too much AoA), at 10000m level to gain speed.
