    The old MAPSAT mod on PC was cool. Since we have scanners for ore, what about the ability to so something earlier in the tech tree? It would be really useful to do topographic surveys of celestial bodies where you can plot a heat map of areas that are, more or less flat for landing and offer good routes of escape for rovers, etc. Maybe a radar altimeter or topographic radar for mid tech level stuff? Actually, it looks like this is coming in 1.2.
