Vanilla 4K Skybox – A Sharper, Deeper Space for KSP! Love the vanilla skybox in Kerbal Space Program, but wish it was sharper, darker, and more detailed? This mod enhances the original skybox with 4K textures, making space feel deeper and more immersive while staying true to the game's aesthetic. Created using Space Engine, it preserves the familiar look but with significantly improved clarity and contrast. This skybox has been sitting on my drive for a while, and today, as I returned to KSP, I decided to finally share it with the community! Hope you enjoy it! Features: 4K textures for stunning clarity Deeper black levels for a more realistic space feel More vibrant and detailed stars Stays true to the vanilla style, just enhanced Fully compatible with Texture Replacer Requirement: This mod requires Texture Replacer to work! Install now and experience KSP’s universe in breathtaking 4K! Download: Vanilla 4K Skybox on SpaceDock Download SE: Installation: Download and install Texture Replacer (if you haven’t already). Extract the Vanilla 4K Skybox. Copy all files from the mod’s folder into: Kerbal Space Program\GameData\TextureReplacer\Default Launch KSP and enjoy the enhanced skybox! Screenshots:

There was a post in 2016 about ESA's Gaia mission in this forum. Because it's kinda old and this is more about the results, I started a new one. For all of you who are interested in astronomy there is a very interesting application called "Gaia Sky" of the Center for Astronomy of University Heidelberg, which charts all the objects and their parameters measured by Gaia. You can find more informationen and download it on their homepage. The Gaia mission is still running and the next data release (DR2) with even more accurate data is expected in April 2018.
