What has 4-5 layers of frontal armor, four sets of "tracks" (hehe), a low silhouette, and a large gun? The T-28/95 "Doom Turtle," of course. (I was totally not inspired to build this by der film. XD ) I haven't fired up KSP in a little while, so I decided to rebuild everything and start from scratch. The gun is capable of firing AP and HE projectiles (with AP loaded as default) and is "mostly" reliable, has an elevation of up to 15 degrees (with almost no depression XD ), and the wheels survive up to 11 m/s bumps when going uphill and downhill. The gun also has an open section for a future autoloader to load ammunition (in a separate tank I built with an unmanned turret and the same gun, it has a +35/-15 degree elevation and depression. I'll be opening a contest for it soon...). The gun also has a mantlet to act as spaced armor. Random comment: I just felt a minor earthquake, and it's 1 in the morning. :l Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mnim1srr1plr5ad/A Doom Turtle T-95C - Continuation.craft?dl=0 Firing gun: And a sneak peak at my new oplot-esque unmanned turret equipped MBT. 3-kerbal crew is kept in a separated armored compartment and the turret is equipped with a "basket." With the composite armor, the frontal face of the unmanned turret has a greater effective thickness than the T-95's frontal plates.
