If the Russians had landed on the Moon after the USA, do you think the Space Race would have continued on to Mars or other big achievements? When America landed on the Moon, we "won" because we could do something the Soviets couldn't. But if the USSR had landed on the Moon, even if it was after the US, we both would have "equal" capabilities.

It would still have reverted to space stations. Neither could afford that kind of spending, and most further Apollo work had been cancelled before the landings even happened.

No, the space race would have stopped using manned missions and would have started to compete in unmanned missions- like above, they are easier to plan and are cheaper. Also, the USSR had a RUD, so the race would have ended.
