History of Spaceflight

I'm certain this has probably been done before but this is going to be an accurate as possible recreation of the real history of spaceflight.

To be clear from the start this will not be stock and I will use many mods likely. I am open to suggestions for mods and missions and i may post my .craft files for download if there is enough interest. Mechjeb will fly most flights, I am no killer pilot and all of these missions-except certain landings perhaps, were computer flown to an extent at least. i will simulate closed and open loop guidance in certain ways (discussed later)

I am currently building up the KSP build so that i can run right through my mission list. where possible missions will be launch on their "real date" using info from the Real Solar System Wiki (which i hopefully plan to use) with day 1 as the 1st of January 1951.

Mulbin did a stock one but didn't progress beyond 1959 if I'm not mistaken- I"d like to see this!

Looks interesting. You're missing a lot of unmanned probes but I don't know how fussed you are about those.

Couple of suggestions if you do want to add them, the Lunar Orbiter and Surveyor probes would go nicely with your Apollo equivalents (bonus points if you land your Apollo 12 near a Surveyor ), recreating the Soviet Venera probes would let you fly a couple of missions to Eve if you wanted, and the US Viking probes would let you add a couple of early Duna landers.

Yeah i do plan on those, the mission list is still a WIP as im still doing the research and also determining what is possible within the supported parts of RO.

biggest problem right now is comms networks for probes, i might decide to disable remotetech, unsure yet
