Unable to complete contracts

I have got to the bit where I download a load of files and then sit here looking stupid and [Removed by the Moderation Team] because it will not then do anything useful.

It asks me what soft where I want to use to open the files. How the [Removed by the Moderation Team] should I know?

I am not a computer programer. I understand that you have never met such a person but outside your office there are lots of us.

I highly suggest you go back and read the thread again before you start downloading files. I believe I posted this statement in that thread right next to the download link:

You still need to edit your save file (if it's broken) using the instructions above. Then you can install the fix which should (hopefully) prevent kerbals from getting lost.

Which means that, even if you download my fix, you still must edit the save file to unbreak it first. The instructions on how to do that are in the post. After you do that, you can install the fix which will prevent the problem in the future. Instructions on where/how to install the fix are included with the download, or available on the stock bug fix thread (which was also linked). Additionally, the download isn't required at all, if you don't want it.

I cannot see into your computer screen, so I am unable to know what you are doing with the files. I don't know what software is asking you to open the files (whether it be your browser or your operating system). If you follow the instructions and are getting lost, then I need to know more than "It asks me what soft where I want to use to open the files. How the feck should I know?'" If the instructions are too complex to handle, you can feel free to post your save file (as numerous other people have done) and we can help you fix it.

Also, I should be extraordinarily clear that none of us are Squad employees, and we have not "taken money for this." You have not given us money, you gave Squad money. We are simply players, like yourself, who are trying to assist you in getting your game to work properly. I would ask you to please be more considerate of that fact, as there are many people on this thread trying to help you. If you cannot provide the information we request, we will be completely unable to help you resolve your problem, and you will be hopelessly frustrated by our guesswork.
