Can't stack wings the way I want

Recommended Posts

The gizmos are the 4 small icons in the top left corner of the editor (the keys 1 to 4 are assigned to them).

1 is standard mode as you know from the editor

2 is moving a part after you placed it

3 is rotating a part after you placed it

4 is reassigning the root part

Depending on how the angle snap settings are (by angled displayed as a hexagon or "free" displayed by a circle next to the symmetry display), you can use the 2 and 3 key in steps or really fine if in "free" mode.

Wing placement also behaves quite different depending on the snap setting.

A few tips:

- if you build large wings with stock parts, start from the back to front. Build the end of the wing in full width. Then Alt-Click the innermost wing segment to copy it, place it, adjust the outer wingtips.

- control surfaces can be tricky to place on angled wings. I mostly use the free snap setting combined with shift-wasdqe and the rotation gizmos to align them properly.

What version is that? Can you show a screen?
