Now on the religious side of things point 1 after this post it will stay out of this forums and 2 my main point is that we are not run by just one religion. Though Christianity may seem to be the main religion at every major summer camp we have different services for denominations. So please from now on keep religion out of this. This a place for scouts to talk and connect and ask for assistance.

How can you keep religion out of it when you're talking about Scouts? One of the key tenets of Scouting is "duty to God.". A friend of mine got kicked out of his troupe in Ontario several years ago for "coming out" as an atheist.

I understand the forum rules and I don't mean to cause any offense, but that WAS kind of my point. If religious discussion doesn't belong on this fourm, then maybe discussion about scouting doesn't either. According to the BSA's own website, they go hand-in-hand.

Anyways, I'm first class now, and due for star in about 4 months. Some of the merit badges are a pain. At least I got to plan a trip to Duna for personal management.Secret message *kappa*

Eagle Scout here (got it back in 2007ish... about a day before I turned 18 )

Done some Sea Scouts as both a scout and adult volunteer.

These days I haven't been all that active, tho...

I startred as a Joey, went through Cubs and into Scouts but gave It up for the Australian Air Force Cadets. Any other cadets around here? Maybe we can adapt the thread into a youth group thread?

Acutally, due to reasons, I didn't get to go to Duna, I only got to plan for it. I did go later though. I still had to do the the funds tracking too.

And who said I asked my counselor first
