Hello and probably Goodbye

Recommended Posts

Hey, I am new here, and so, I have also recently started playing KSP!

I hope to have a lot of fun here. :P

When I said 'Goodbye' in the title, what I meant is, nothing works for me, none of the rockets I make take off no matter how I make them, or however many tutorials I take... They just don\'t work, even when they are EXACTLY the same as other rockets from videos which do work. I think this is a bug and hence I may not play again, but yeah.

Aside from that, greetings! :D

OK, first of all, your rocket is too heavy for those three engines at the bottom to carry (all the weight of the rocket is pushing down on them on the launchpad), which is why two of them broke (grayed out on the second screenshot).

Try lowering the center part of the rocket so that the three middle engines are lined up with the three outer engines.

Alternatively, try something a little smaller for your first flights.

You can find a lot of great rockets in the stock repository here:

Second, those three engines do not have enough thrust to lift a rocket of that size. You should set up staging so the three center engines engage at the same time as the three outer ones (by dragging their icons to the bottom most stage in the VAB).
