cicatrix Posted March 12, 2015 Share Posted March 12, 2015 This post is a spinoff from this thread.Since we are all rocket scientists here there is a need to post some math and physics formulas.I know that there are plugins for vBulletin that allow generation of formulas using TeX notation rules.Is it possible to install such a plugin on this forum so that we could use [TEX][/TEX] tags to generate nice looking formulas? sumghai Posted March 12, 2015 Share Posted March 12, 2015 This has been suggested a number of times in the past, and according to KasperVld, such plugins pose a security risk to the forums:The codecogs editor looks nice but their method of implementation requires us to implement off-site javascript and, well, smarter things have been done in the history of IT security. What you /can/ do with the codecogs machine is generate your LaTeX code there, save the image it produces and upload it to imgur to include it in your posts.As such, no TeX integration for the forums is planned anytime soon.[MOD - Thread closed] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
