Ya...Star Citizen...My First Livestream Live Impressions !

Greetings,

Me and my trusty robot AI HAL will attempt to fly in SC; I dont plan on doing the race thing; not my bag of bolts; I am an explorer and edventurer but we may try our hand at some dogfighting...

One thing of note - I rarely use a HOTAS I fly by using keys; they said this will be alot like fyling a Plane Sim...so...I am adding up my throttle but will still be using keys for manuvering; my HOTAS does allow for HELO-like flying where you can YAW; we will spend almost at least an hour to define our keys; there will most likely then be a stream restart.

PS I was gonna pay $120+ or so to get into a Freelancer which is the largest ship that can go thru the smallest gateways (at last read) and use it as an explorer with gate-locating technologies; I was worried that my computer could not handle this 'game' - I call it a game not a SIM; it is probly half and half; it is a buzzkill game; I like to play slow and sure; the planets are only for social and not exploring; what good is that?! In the end I will probly spend the money on a 10,000 RPM drive and stay here yo !!!

Yes I know...seriously think of what they are doing ... Eve Online is probly a better game; who really wants to fly around in a space ship and have to deal with pirates all the time PVE at that; it will probly be very laggy; I couldnt even play in large battles on Eve and I have a 15meg Internet; it is just the idea of being cooped up in a ship; maybe I am claustraphibic that and KSP has 100 times more variance to do things; AND KSP is a MOD supported game.

I already put down 50 bucks on one MMO now I cant play it because it is too laggy; there are better FREE MMOs that are NOT laggy in the least!

I am having to install Windows7 svc pack 1 now just to get this thing going lets see if it works...my computer is due for an operating reinstall anyways...

Results: Well there didnt seem to be any lagg but I did hit a few quick lagg spots but barely noticeable.

SC was everything that I thought it would be; ah well now I will have more room on my drive when it is gone so sad...
