Asteroids not appearing in my game :/

Hey, I used to play loads like a year or two ago, but swiftly discovered I had to make a new save to make use of all the new lovely things that have been added to the game. So I made a new game and started playing, eventually I noticed some asteroid missions but, there are no asteroids in my game So I tried deleting the nasa cfg file and validating it again, then speeding up around 5 years to see if any would spawn, but nothing is spawning, anyone else had problems with asteroids not spawning?

Nobody had this problem before? I've seen a few other posts but they mostly got it fixed by deleting the nasa folder etc and revalidating, didn't work for me X_x.... i'd be happy with even custom adding them to my game if anyone knows how to spawn an asteroid =/?

Asteroids are marked as Unknown Object(s) in the map. In the tracking station, you can click on them and track them.
