VenomousRequiem
What makes a part look "stock-alike" is usually just the general art style. It's just got that look about it.
TheShadow1138
Here's a couple of renders for comparison. The texture has only been slightly altered to darken the nozzle. The difference in the two is that one has extra geometry and no bump map and the other is with the bump map and no extra geometry.Render 1:Render 2:Which do y'all prefer? Kibble
Render 2 looks real good. Although the P80 motor is monolithic, and I would suggest whitening it up a little. I always interpreted "stock-a-like" to bee another word for cartoonish or whimsical.
TheShadow1138
Also what does the text on the side say?"PEdH" the abbreviation of "Premier Étage du Hestia", which is the French for "First Stage of the Hestia". Each stage has the abbreviation for the French for each stage: "Deuxième Étage", "Troisième Étage", and "Quatrième Étage".Although the P80 motor is monolithic, and I would suggest whitening it up a littleYeah I know it's monolithic, I just put the ribbing on there to add some detail otherwise it would pretty much be a plain cylinder. I'll lighten the light gray of the texture a bit, but I think I'll leave the dark gray alone. Thanks for the input.
Kibble
Thanks for the input.Hey no problem, I really like where this mod is going! Another thought, you could have Vega first stage bee 120 mT, to resemble Vega-C, that way you can also use it as the boosters for Ariane 6. So, I'll keep it in mind, but for now I'm gonna leave them as separate parts.

sp1989
Something like this maybe.http://i.imgur.com/vYIPKcj.pngThe white with the blue stripe is the way to go. Thats just my personal opinion. Its your mod. I mean if you want to make it crimson and pink thats up to you. I didn't mean to sound like a petulant child "I needs to be white!". It just that if you are making a Vega rocket, in my opinion, it should be white.

I actually hadn't even considered adding back any other colors, but I think the darker blue stripe does make it the livery to go with for the Vega. So I'll just need to touch up the textures for the other stages and add the extra geometry and the Vega should be ready for public consumption. passinglurker
@shadow: looking good the blue stripe gives it an ESA sort of feel. Now I know you said your computer was a little slow but if you could turn up your anti-alias just a little it would do wonders for your screenshots when showcasing your parts. _Augustus_
Hey, can anyone provide any craft files for this mod? I'll include some in a 0.3 hotfix after the following happen:1. 1.0 comes out2. I make sure no part configs have to be changed too much apart from the Genoya pods3. I fix the parts if 1.0 broke them in any way4. I figure out how the new procedural fairings work. Then I'll upload a 0.3 hotfix with craft files. _Augustus_
I unfortunately am having trouble converting to 1.0. My parts won't attach in a stack. Can anyone help me?
Master Tao
Stack attach nodes are directional, and that's enforced in 1.0. It allows good things like not being able to clip decouplers through to the wrong node, but it has broken some parts packs.Invert the one of the attach node vectors. Most likely, you need to negate the y-component of the stack_attach_bottom.
