Dunderhead question: Why is "post new reply" not posting new replies?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I'm looking right at the solution, but just am too thick today to figure it out. I'm trying to create a thread in the Spacecraft Exchange forum for my creations, but every time I try to post a new post, it appends on the end of my first post, rather than creating a new one. Is this default behavior, or did I miss a setting somewhere? Thanks guys. :)

Okay, I don't get it. After I got logged out and logged back in, NOW it's making new replies? What gives?

Merging "new posts" with old posts by the same user is default action to keep thread cluttering to a minimum.

Though you can make new posts after the old one after a certain amount of time, or so I've found in the past.

You shouldn't need to create additional posts. If you need to link to specific sections in your post (to make a table of contents, or something like that), you can use the goto and line BBCodes, like so:

[noparse][goto=tagname]This is a link to the line marked 'tagname'[/goto]
....
[line=tagname]This will appear as normal text, so you can format it as a heading or what have you.[/line][/noparse]

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
