Dimensions of Mk3 parts

Hey,

I'm getting a little bored while waiting for 1.0 to be released so I decided to try making some new parts in Blender.

I was thinking of a simple structural part, like a shuttlestyle mk3 end piece to attach engines to.

Is there a place where I can find the exact dimensions of mk3 parts? To me they look like 3.75m cylinders with the sides cut away. But I dont know how much to cut away. ;)

Cheers!

They are modelled off B9 HL parts, which as you surmised are 3.75 cylinders with a slice through some verts. The B9 HL parts come with a fully circular version anyway. The reference is 24 sides for a cylinder for most KSP parts, so that should be enough as it is. You can load any part into Blender with Taniwha's .mu loader to get the basic mesh to use as a template - you don't have to use Blender to model further, obviously :P

B9 HL compatible part on the right, 24 sided cyl @1.875m radius in yellow - where to slice should be obvious :)
