Waterbug bite.

Well I was cleaning through my unfinished basement without shoes on, a huge water bug walks out, starts to play dead, gets up and bites my foot.

I have a bit of an open wound where the bug bit me, any tips on how to remove the sting?

Occasionally when encountered by a larger predator, such as a human, they have been known to 'play dead' and emit a fluid from their anus. Due to this they are assumed dead by humans only to later 'come alive' with painful results.

yup, they\'ll do that, lol.

nothing much says there\'s anything to do about their bite other than to just put up with it until it goes away. Its not dangerous or anything, so there\'s no need for meds or such. Although its usually noted as rather painful......

Heh; I\'m glad I leave in the region where no insects bite...

...except for mosquitoes. And bedbugs. And ticks. And wasps.

Oh, damn.

NZ?

Anyways the only reason the bug bit me was because I beat the crap out of it with a plastic bat...

I probably should of chosen the wood planks near the wall...(Well the plastic thats made to look like wood...)

NZ?
Soviet Russia ;P

I often confuse a wasp with a fly -- and attempt to kill it with my bare hand (wasp manages to sting in any case). When sitting at the computer with headphones on (and not hearing the buzz), it\'s quite hard to judge what did just land on your belly under the table)))
