What does the color of the MET mean?

The color of the MET seems to change, but I'm not sure what it symbolizes.

At 1x warp, I assume Green = Physics running at realtime, Yellow = Physics slowed

What does red, mean, however? Super slow? "Cutting corners" as the physics warp does? I know the mod Time Control let's you scale back the accuracy of calculations, but how does the game handle it?

It is the physics/frame rate.

If it is green it is running at 25+FPS

Yellow 10-24FPS

Red 10 or less FPS.

So it doesn't indicate time warp, it just indicates speed of physics? Thanks.
