Mach 1 Shock Cone deletion

Hey something that has plague my game sense my first time playing is every time I reach or get close to mach 1 (when the shock cone happens) my games FPS decreases to the point of game crash. Ive decided there is nothing I can really do about it but remove it. Is it possible to remove the shock cone file and if so where can i find it to remove it

Here is an example of what I mean by mach effect.

Every time I reach or get near this point my game crashes.

All I want to do is know if I can delete the data file that causes this effect

I have...they are as low as they can get. I found something in the FX file called shockDiamond2.dds. Think that's it?

Sorry, wrong graphics setting. Try reducing the "Aerodynamic FX quality."

"Shock diamond" sounds like an effect for one of the engines.
