Warning: No Control!

Recommended Posts

I just started playing KSP today, and have made a sub-orbital ship. I tested it with a pilot, and now have a tourist that want's to ride. However, when I reopen the file and try to launch it with either the tourist or the pilot, it says "Warning: No Control!" Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I haven't done a tourist mission yet, so I'm just guessing. I suspect you need two pods, with an astronaut pilot in your first pod. Then add a 2nd one-man pod for the tourist to ride.

I was able to complete that mission with 2 pods, but that doesn't explain why when I put a pilot back in the pod (when I had one) it still wouldn't let me launch.

Tourists cannot control craft in any way. If you did have a pilot on board (in a second capsule), perhaps the game is only looking at the pod that's "in control." You can try right-clicking on the pod that has your pilot on board and selecting "Control From Here." See if that fixes it? If so, then it's probably a bug.

Cheers,
