Kerbal EVA still a catastrophe

I really hoped that Kerbal EVA would get an overhaul for 1.0. For me EVA's are the biggest nightmare due to 2 reasons:

1: controls/thrusters are too rough

2: still no pitch control on EVA. Flying a space suit is PRECISELY SAME AS FLYING A SPACESHIP!!!!! And therefore it doesn't need any other controls than a rocket! Fix it already!

Other than that still testing 1.0. It's definitly harder than any previous releases due to new aerodynamics and reentry heat.

Why is there no key assignement in the input settings then? Thats another one of those top secret nobody knows controls.

There's no key assignment because it's a mouse movement, just like there's no key assignment for zooming in and out. And it's not bound to a key because you can only control 3 axes with a keyboard (WASDQE) before things start getting hard to reach.

I think the key to the system they use now is that kerbals automatically stop all rotation whenever they can and maintain an "UP" direction, which does keep things from getting overly confusing.

I don't have too hard a time with the current system (tap the thrusters, don't put the pedal down!), but I think a simple improvement would be to enable the same RCS control mode that ships have: IJKLHN keys for translation in and WASDQE keys for rotation.

Allowing us to switch between the default mode and full craft controls would be good, I think.

Unfortunately Squad missed the chance to make their controls more consistent in 1.0. Another example: IVA camera rotation is still totally different from camera rotation in every other mode.

Am I missing something, or does that just reset "up" as soon as you thrust in any direction?

Climbing is very tedious too. I found that to be the most irritating thing in my first 1.0 session. No mater how hard I tried the climbing prompt would appear for a split second and then nothing. I need to be able to climb the distance of a science jr onto a pod. I cant do it.
