Crashing Constantly 5 mins into game

Having an issue here.

game keeps crashing. cant play for more then a couple of mins before KSP crashes and forces me to do a hard reboot.

Love this game..sniffle..wanna play.

win 7 home

intel core 2duo 2.66 GHz

RAM = 4GB

System is 64 bit --------------------could that be the problem?

I am having the same problem but it is sooner then that it is crashing to desktop in the menu system I can not get any where the game is un playable at this state on 1.0. The crash was not happening a few days ago in what was it 0.93 there was not crashing but know the game on steam and the down load from your site store both are doing the same problem crashing to desktop in the load area or in the menu area when I click on some thing. Under stand this is on a great power house of a system and it is a fresh install of windows 7 pro 64x. it also has all up-to-date drivers and also for the thing plugged in to the USB. the new problem is that I reinstalled the old version and know it has the same problem so some thing steam or KPS installed is conflicting with some thing.

You're running out of physical RAM, since your hard limit is 4GB (NOT the 32-bit limit, but the actual limitation of the computer hardware) and the system is using >1200Mb for itself, there is not enough RAM to run the game. Try lowering the texture detail to half-res, otherwise the only other solution is to buy more RAM and put it in your computer.

However it seems that verifying my cache on my steam download did the trick. there were two Corrupt files. Now its run for well over an hour. Long enough for me to do this PROBLEM SOLVED !!
