Trapped in R&D

Two times now I've found myself trapped in the R&D complex after the following sequence of events:

- Enter R&D

- Enter "Science Archives"

- Attempt to exit to Space Center using top left "Exit" button

What occurs specifically is that the button, as well as the other buttons on the top ("Technology" and "Science Archives") become disabled, but the scene does not change to the Space Center scene. The other buttons remain functional.

Checking the Debug Log, I found a NullReferenceException the first time, but no NullReferenceExceptions the second time. However, the debug bar told me that an input lock called "R&D" was on. Clicking "Clear Input Lock Stack" removed this lock and allowed me to press "escape" and use the Pause Menu to return to the title screen, from which I was able to resume playing.

...So if anyone knows what causes this, commentary is welcome, and if anyone else has encountered this issue, try what I did and let us know if it works or not.
