I don't see a mod out there for this, but could someone make a parts mod to put characters on the hull of ships? Color would be a good option, but how hard would it be to make it use other fonts (for international support)? For simplicity's sake, you might want to leave it at only 3 size options. If you could make it procedural, I guess you could have it a stretchable size and enter an entire word. I've so wanted to put, "This is not a death ray" on one of my comm satellites.
