In Career and just returned from an eyeballed flyby of the mun.

Not enough cash for patched conics, so I went back to the method I learned from Lurking before I could use maneuver nodes properly.

By that I mean, once you're in orbit, wait til you see the mun and burn straight for it.

Works like a charm every time :)
