Cannot get 1.0 to run for more than a minute

Recommended Posts

KSP Version: build id = 00830 2015.04.26 at 19:45:40 CEST Branch: master

I've been away from KSP for some time, but was excited to try 1.0 and all the new fun stuff. I cannot for the life of me get the game to run for more than 30-60 seconds before crashing to desktop. It does not matter if I stay on the main menu or rush through and get a rocket on the launchpad, it always crashes. I have tried verifying local files, and have gone as far as to completely delete the KSP folder and have Steam install it in a different library on a different drive with the same results. This issue is 100% reproducible for me, and I have yet to actually play.

I'm unsure how to post one of my dozens of crash logs, as this forum says "You may not post attachments" and the text is too long for a single post. If needed, I'll break it up into several posts. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

I am also having the same problem! BTW you can use google drive to upload and link your crash folder thingy.

Here's my story:

System:

  • Windows 7 64bit
  • Intel 2600k no overclock
  • Nvidia 560ti no overclock, current driver
  • 16GB RAM
  • Game Installed on 120GB SSD
  • Steam Game Cache Verified (seems to always find a file that needs to be re-downloaded)
  • Fresh/Clean Game Install, no mods or additional files
  • Game Version: v1.0.0.830

Issue:

  • Launch Game in 32-bit mode
  • No matter if i am in the menu, or rush a rocket to the launch pad, i crash every time within a few minutes.

I've included multiple crash folder from the past few days for download here via Google Drive.

EDIT: It Seems that the recent EVGA Precision X software update was the cause of my issues! Installed MSI afterburner and i have no more crashes.
