KSP contract progression is weird. Anyone else seeing this?

Hello Forum!

Normally I'd post this in the help section, but it's not really something that I need help with - I'd more like to know if anyone else is experiencing this. This might be a bug / issue with the new version since I haven't seen it before.

The contract system wants me to visit Pol, the outermost Joolian moon. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue. But I see these contracts a lot! They don't really fit into my progression since I haven't even flown by Minmus yet! I also don't see any contracts pointing to Minmus - which is concerning. Naturally, I except Minmus to be the next logical destination after having landed on the Moon.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yeah, I also got a mission to Pol right after I declined my first contract. Might be a missing requirement in that particular contract. I still decided to take it, because it was paying enough to upgrade the Mission Control even if it takes up a contract slot for a long, long time!

EDIT: To be clear, I pretty sure I had not even been to Kerbin orbit when I got the Pol contract and definitely sure I hadn't been outside LKO.

Have you gone to other planets?

Minmus flyby contracts should show up... Just flyby Minmus and you should get some contracts.

Someone on reddit said that being in a polar orbit can cause this problem. I have been in many polar orbit, also around the moon. If this is true, it's a hillarious glitch.

I've heard that this may be in relation to there being a "Flag Pole biome" at KSC. Somehow this glitches up the way the contract system tries to determine what you can reach. After all, you can easily reach the flag pole...

Since this started appearing in concert with the introduction of the large number of silly mini-biomes around KSC, it sounds convincing enough...
