ESC menu doesn't show up; I cannot exit a mission without killing my ksp.exe process

Recommended Posts

When I hit esc during a mission, the game pauses but no menu appears. this is quite annoying as I often want to go back the ship builder or the space station, but have to literally restart the game in order to do so.

Is this a known issue? How do I fix this problem?

Pleaser read this sticky: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92230-%21%21%21-PLEASE-READ-BEFORE-POSTING-%21%21%21-Stock-Support-Bug-Reporting-Guide

and provide the information detailed in there, especially the output log.

Sure thing.

I'm using KSP 1.0.0.830 on Windows 10, 64-bit with Steam.

When I'm doing a mission, I should be able to hit escape and the escape menu pops while also pausing the game. However, sometimes (seemingly randomly), hitting escape only pauses the game and no menu comes up. This means that I'm stuck in the mission until I kill the KSP.exe process. I've tried everything from reloading my last save to restarting my PC. I've updated my video drivers and reinstalled the game. Nothing I've done so far has helped fix this issue.

Screenshots aren't really relevant to my problem I don't think.

I also don't think craft/save files are relevant.

Here is the full output_log.txt file immediatly after I was forced to kill the ksp.exe process because the menu didn't show up: http://www.docdroid.net/yy6x/output-log.txt.html

Here is my system specifications document: http://docdro.id/yy73

It looks like you have some mods installed. Have you tried running a clean install and seeing if the issue persists? Specifically, VOID looks like it's having a problem with the biome maps. Might want to check the VOID thread.

Cheers,

Which folders are in GameData by default? I have no problem deleting all other folders in there, even though I was pretty sure I uninstalled everything...
