[BUG] VIP has been lost

As I launched Wehrkin Kerman into space I got a checkmark for him being in a sub-orbital flight, but a few seconds later the contract also got a 'failed' status, stating that the 'VIP has been lost'.

Not really understanding why this happened (the ship had a control module), I reloaded a quick load just before launch and the contract still had the 'failed' status with the same message. Even going back to my very first quicksave, I still see all the contract I have in my latest quicksave, so basically besides this tourist contract suddenly failing, the contracts you have don't change between quicksaves.

Furthermore, Wehrkin Kerman is still in my list of astronauts (so not lost at all), but now unusable since I can't 'redo' the contract (already discarded it for that matter) and unable to be removed.

EDIT: After relaunching the game later I noticed the contract suddenly being back (after it had 'failed' and I had discarded it), so I retried it and now I've achieved the contract! Dunno what was going on, but apparently the game fixed itself!
