Stupid Question need an answer

Hello guys,

i've seen a lot of KSP streamers do some really usefull parts clipping and translate in the VAB with some kind of 3-colored arrows and 3-colored wheel, and i don't know if it's a mod or a normal feature of the game as i want to be able to do that myself ! Thanks for the help !

It's built right into the stock game. In the top left corner (of the building scene, not your screen) of the VAB or SPH you'll see 4 tools:

• Place • offset • Rotate • Root

Those are the tools you're looking for. You can either click them to get the functions or press the 1, 2, 3 & 4 keys (I think...I might be wrong on the keymaps).

Those are new features available from the start in KSP 1.0. If you really need to clip you can turn on part clipping in the Alt+F12 menu.

IIRC, part clipping is allowed by default since 0.90.

I meant the offset, rotate and root buttons are 0.90.

Though you are correct about the clipping too.
